When you play scrabble in person there are two things that will inevitably happen:

1. You complain about your letters

2. You ask if "quone" or something like that is a word.

This game only allows proper words to be played. So the list of inevitable topics of discussion is reduced to 1.

Thanks for the support, victims of mine.

The game also has some issues with grammar.

what happens if you play a word that isn't recognised?

does it let you try again or give the opponent the option to challenge (resulting in a missed go if the challenge succesful?)

You can't play a word that doesn't exist in the game's dictionary. It will keep telling you "'ey' is not a word" until you play something that it accepts.

In this way it is possible to fluke your way through a round, although you've absolutely no chance of winning overall if you do that very often and you might as well resign.

The only time fluking could come into play is if you're nearing the end of a close game and there are a few TLs exposed. If you've got a highscoring letter you might as well guess around that TL just to get 24+ points.

Of course in real Scrabble you should be questioned as to whether you know the meaning of the word you're putting down, or at least how to use it in a sentence, but on WWF that doesn't matter.

Anyway I'm on about 24hrs now since I played my last move with kaini. I don't really mind waiting but I thought I'd keep the community updated if people are getting anxious or something, I mean this is serious biz

is there no option to have a challenge system switched on (as in scrabble)

You think we could, like, postpone our game over the weekend and then him and I could schedule a time to sit down a finish all at once? I don't want to win by default!
