well, a couple things:

1. when did it become a rule that people have to release something new at least every 5 years? personally i dont think its been that long since 2006 and trans canada highway.

2. you may say we buy the records and it would be 'polite' with a news update, but i find its the other way around. we dont pay them to create music, we buy their music because they make it available. they dont owe us anything, much less a news update. if they havent released anything in 15 years then it would be cool to just give a nod to fans, but seriously, its 2011, they put out album/ep in 2005/2006. its not that long ago
