Oh man, you've got me all wrong! I love BoC's music but I'm not a fanboy. That's why I can't abide by all this bullshit from the likes of 'MDG' & his ilk. Throwing crumbs of mouldy info around about inpending new releases, box sets, videos etc. None of this stuff has come to pass as of yet. So if these people are who they say they are then are they just taking the piss?! If anything really is happening then wouldn't you expect a band as big as BoC to announce it through official channels i.e. their record label or website? As opposed to some herbert that pops up in an independent forum once in a blue moon? It just doesn't make sense to me. But anyway, the point here is that it's just not worth getting our nickers in a twist about anything until something has happened. If & when something happens then all good. In the mean time the 'Hexagon Sun Reps' can go & whistle whist I sit down to my Air Textures Volume One CD I suggest everyone else go and do the same (because it's a DAMN fine album & so say all of me ).

LOL, you all are still missing the point - mdg was just doing the fans a favour in letting them know something's coming - he, nor probably could the band themselves, have predicted any delays that occurred. You need to stop assuming that mdg's posts were to advertise or promise anything - he was just imparting what he knew at the time, that he felt the fans would like to know, nothing more to it. I can understand now why he doesn't bother posting anything anymore regardless of whether there's info to share or not - from his perspective I wouldn't make the effort either.

what he did was basically the same all artists do or have somebody doing for them on facebook nowadays when a new release comes out. post small bit here and there to start the hype even if he did not do it intentionally

I think that's what sets mdg apart from the "others" that post hype on facebook. Mdg would post info on here or twoism because we really wanted info. It wasn't guerrilla advertising (at least intentionally), he was just doing us a favor.

But, from the looks of things, this forum has scared him off, and rightly so. Bums me out, because he was our only official source.

I don't care about Old Tunes and A Few Old Tunes being released. At this point I want BOC Maxima and Play By Numbers more than anything. Some new stuff would be nice too. Also, why the hell haven't they released Trails yet? Waiting for the next warp anniversary compilation in 2019?

If MDG had never posted a single word, wouldn't the record sell the EXACT same number of copies, if or when it comes out? He may have just been making an attempt at fucking with us at worst, and at best, trying to tell us what he knew.

My theory, is that after Campfire, they stopped working on music for a while.. say, like 4 years. Then, they started working on another album, and they're perfectionists, so it's just going to take them a while.. To the FANS, this seems like an eternity. But I think there will be a new album.

raising awareness of an 'impending release' sounds exactly like advertising to me, advertising being defined as publicity. doesn't matter whether it's aimed at a particular niche group or not, it's still publicity.

Wattm can be slightly aggresive at times. Nothing wrong with that though.
