Guest fiznuthian
Just rub some cane sugar on them, we'll rub some saccharomyces ceravisiae all around, let your balls ferment then get drunk Just check out how many organisms are in kefir: Quote Lactococci : 1,000,000,000 Leuconostocs : 100,000,000 Lactobacilli : 5,000,000 Yeast : 1,000,000 Acetobacter : 100,000 That's 1,106,100,000 cells capable of forming colonies in every milliliter. One liter is 1,000 ml... So in a liter of traditionally fermented kefir you could expect over 1 trillion organisms to potentially inhabit your gut. And unlike most probiotics they're alive and happily consuming substrate until the moment you consume them. Very quick and makes for a much cheaper, more effective probiotic anyway.. one quart of kefir usually has many billions of organisms. I actually take some stuff called Inner-Eco (http://www.inner-eco.com/), it's a coconut water probiotic kefir, and it tastes fantastic (considering what it is). It's only $13 for a month+ supply too, though I will probably try making my own kefir some time. Didn't know it was so easy, so thanks for the heads up. Also, ))(( should have been ))><((. Guest fiznuthian
That looks fantastic (i bet it does taste great too). 100 billion CFU in every tablespoon is impressive for a water kefir. Pretty good! My *digestion has been messing with me for years, so I finally decided to get proactive about things and have been eating more fiber (both in the form of psyllium husk caps and more straight veggies), and started taking probiotics about a month ago. I still have to experiment with my diet more to see if there's something else going on, but for now, feels good man.
