Ten live tunes you'd like to hear on studio release?

Recommended Posts

1 - Mcr Quarter. Kickin tune.

2 - Untilted set, first 10 minutes, with the acoustics of the Detroit gig.

3 - Untilted set, 10 - 16 minutes, done SEone style.

4 - Untilted set, Geneva, 35 - 40 mins.

5 - Quaristice set, first 12 minutes. Amaaaaazing.

6 - Quaristice set, 22 - 27 mins. (fast tune)

7 - Untilted, Live @ RESET. First ten minutes.

8 - Oversteps, first 5 minutes (but not fizzling out after the breakthrough at 4-5 mins in...)

9 - Oversteps, Domino set, 24:40 to 30.20

10 - Oversteps, Domino, 32:10 to 41 mins. What they go in to after this in the PURE set is fuckin super, so with that tacked on like a super epic sublimit style closer.

If they released this it would easily be favourite autechre album. And, as it is, not a huge amount of their discography comes close to it for me, which says a lot!

I could write a lot here.

But im not going to.

But I'll write a little... that pentatonic thing from the Palladium Club '97 set @ 48 min. It's kind of cheesy but it's so unexpected and kind of uplifting.

Fucking fair play. That's my favourite part of any of their sets they've done and i've seen fuck all people point it out. It's amazing. If they released it it could very well be my favourite AE track. Amazing. Hats off!

That second track is class as well. My favourite part of that set ;)

some of the best 'dance' music produced post 2005 by any single musician or music act in my strong opinion. It's too bad UK dance music is such a snake eating it's own tale right now instead of trying to figure out how in the hell Autechre pulled off such amazing driving music in the Quaristice, and Untilted live sets

Yeah. I watched the Magnetic Man - "Anthemic" video the other day. I can't believe that's the electronic music that kids are growing up to.....it's fucking horrendous.

And....while i'm at it....does anyone* have the melbourne 2010 set? I reeeeaaaalllly wanna hear this :wtf:

I prefer the Canada recording of the Quaristice set.

The second clip has that mangled electronic voice from the '05 live set (can be found at around the 7th or 8th minute on the Glasgow live set).

LA 04.04.2008. >>> 20:38 - 28:49 (32:01)

That would be enough for me.

If that's the same one I'm thinking of, then I adore that track too.

mid tempo beat with a clicky little snare/hat basis, delayed ascending/meandering melody, tape-speeding-up type noises? listed as exactly 5 minutes long on mine, though there may be different versions of that set around since it's a soundboard. flows into Ccec
