it's not bad though that this thing is ultra obscure, often some of the best and most powerful tools available get overshadowed by ones that were marketed better

I found it by accident, I guess they are not offered very often via ebay, curious about the end price.

even if you find one for $800 imo it's still worth it.

I vote for the iPad sequencing app. Haven't got it yet, but plan to.

Fuck, even just that plus a modular g2 engine could be a great combo. Not to mention the keyboard G2. Throw in a machine drum... Yeaaaa

I interpreted it as "non-laptop". But fair enough.

I'd still rather use an app like this for many reasons.

dude wants to "get away from his computer" and a get an old skool seq,

as much as i love the g2, it's about the worst suggestion i could think of here

ps. he's just starting out and doesnt want to spend a thousand bucks on one device, also

I wasnt suggesting he get a g2, I was saying that is what I'll use with that app.

Yeah you're right but if I had the money I'd definitely go and grab one of those - the Nord synths I used so far were all great and so is this one I guess.

I finally made my choice and got a MPC 500, somebody livin' like 2 streets near my house made me a quite good offer, the machine was "mint", so I didn't hesitate any longer...Really excited to finally have my hands on it, on monday or tuesday.

But since it looked fun and quite cheap I might ask for an Alesis MMT8 for Xmas (it isn't that far).
