Dunno what kind of binge you're on at the moment, but I'm not biting back.

No-one here has claimed that my small music output is anywhere near decent enough to listen to, so your acerbic vitriol is totally unwarranted and makes you look a bigger cunt than I am.

Carry on though, you seem to be enjoying it...

fact: external midi clock via a windows pc is and always will be shite

Renoise has the best I've used so far, I would even call it useable. But, yes, Windows + MIDI = shite.

I think that if I really want to go the oldschool route I'd get a decent hardware sequencer, I have a QY-70 and have used it on occasion. it's a pretty nice alternative to tracking - a bit more labour intensive, but it also makes you think more about what you're doing..

I have an atari st with a cubase disc permanently wedged into it, and I can't get into it... used cubase vst in the past and I didn't like sequencing with that either. would love to try a version of logic or notator though, but I don't have a disc yet.

i have Logic 2.5 for Atari ST, with the expander thing that gives you loads of extra ports.

been trying to get rid of it for ages.

with the books though, it's heavy....

alright cool might be interested, I think I just solved the space issue I was having as well. I was building a bridge on top of my mixer for my speakers - and now I think about it also a monitor, ehy!

PM sent.
