I did enjoy the sci-fi Dune miniseries, though that was produced a long time ago…

Yeah, they're doing another Dune movie and TV series, but why?  Between the two existing versions, they had it covered IMO.

Finished American Horror Story : Hotel. Last episode was absolute wank.

Now onto Trailer Park Boys Europe and Westworld.

Been watching that new Portuguese Netflix show, 3%. Pretty typical dystopian future/class disparity type stuff, but it's actually pretty well written and they're doing a lot of interesting things on what is obviously a very low budget. Very enjoyable, with good twists and great cinematography.

^^ a friend of mine swears by that show and i've been meaning to check it out, except this was on tv last night so:

making anti-scientology documentaries is all the rage nowadays and leah remini wants in on the action so she makes a docu-series and she makes shit personal (because she used to be a spokesperson for the church).

nothing you've not seen already just done over and over and over again (with leah remini crying in between)

liked atlanta a lot. i find him kind of annoying as a person but he has talent (not at rapping)

Wife and I started up Penny Dreadful over the weekend, about 4 or 5 episodes in now. I'm enjoying it a lot so far... also I have a crush on Eva Green, her eyes are hypnotizing.

Eva Green is a feline spirit assuming human form.

afaik i usually place all my cum drops on scientifically sterilized glass slides which are carefully frozen and placed in trash cans throughout the city labelled "for women ❤️ alco" with my social security and phone numbers.

not the best mini-series but i kinda like it. what i really dislike is how they always have to get people like elon musk and whatever other talking head to tell us the relevance of something we just saw, or say something obvious like "it's going to take a lot of work to get to mars". it really ruins the flow of the show. also, how annoying are the new characters that just got there?

btw: i'm kinda obsessed with the theme song

I just started the second season of The Man In The High Castle. I enjoyed the first season but the second is slow as fuck. At this point, I'm only really watching it for Alexa Davalos.

Also watched the first three episodes of The OA on Netflix.

Utter rubbish. Absolutely all over the place. The narrative (if it can be called such a thing), is just a series of things that make no sense whatsoever. If this is what passes for interesting, gripping TV nowadays then I'm out.

it looks like everything that Brit Marling is in is terrible, like those two pseudo science fiction films I Origins and Another Earth, will give it a miss.

The OA sounded moderately interesting, but I think I'll give it a pass.

The Man in the High Castle didn't do much for me either tbqh.

Been trying quite a few TV shows lately. If a series doesn't hook me after the second episode, I don't bother with it.

Two things I've noticed about a lot of the streaming content produced now, TV Shows are like any other medium, 95% of it is just basically crap and only the rest is worth investing time in. Secondly, the nature of having say a shows that runs for 8-10 episodes means that there is a lot of time when absolutely nothing relevant is happening. TV shows take the notion of 'filler' to a whole other level.

Finally got around to The Expanse. Really well crafted sci-fi, the ideas shape the plot and allow for the politics and character drama to flow. Shame about some dodgy acting and really bad green screen.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

Bong Appetit - comes off as a lot of Cali hipsters gettin stoned at dinner, but their store room is impressive

Quarry - this is excellent, great cinematography, 70s crime story, it's the guy from Prometheus but I didn't recognize him.  If you thought John Wick went off bc they killed his dog, this guy gets his woman AND his vinyl stolen by the same scumbag.  Capital offense.

Time Commanders......words fail. Greg Wallace looks like he's done a gram of ching, excitably psychotic military historians, Napoleon Total War tweaks so like Master-chef on crack (without food)

just watched first 3. not superb but we are enjoying it- mostly because we wanna see where it goes.

Started watching third season of The Fall. Good because Gillian Anderson, but has the potential to fall into a police procedural.

Psycho infatuated teenager could be an interesting sub-plot.
