What TV series are you watching at moment?

Yeah first half of season 1 sucks. I quit watching Hannibal after 6 or 7 episodes because of how predictable it was. Bad guy of the week with Lecter solving all the crimes while clueless cops watch him. It wasn't until after season 2 came out and was getting all these rave reviews that I decided to give it another shot.

IMO it gets slightly better toward the end of season 1, but season 2 is where it gets completely insane (in a good way) starting with the opening scene. The stuff with Mason Verger in the 2nd half is extremely graphic and intense.

I didn't like season 3 as much as season 2, but it was still much much better than the first half of season 1.

Yeah, season 2 is where it's at, season 1 had some good bits in there. I really liked the music though, as far as I can remember, so I'm not really feeling that criticism.

i really wish handmaid's tale creators would have some fucking sense when it comes to pacing, direction and getting their point across effectively and without needless repetition. the more recent episodes clearly show that this show can reach some pretty high peaks with the help of major characters in play that are quite complex and multidimensional. there's probably half of season worth of good material now. the rest 3/4 of nearly two seasons are just slo-mo grief and agony with slowly bowed cellos as a soundtrack that this shows wallows in like some pig in a mud.

Good escapism that's somewhat related to work for me, fits the  (limited time) tv bill nicely.

GLOW season 2 seemed to veer too far into melodrama than the comedic balance they had in s1. Maron is still great though.

i kinda thought that in the beginning until zoya got her leg broken by liberty bell. then it got better although also pretty cheesy (especially the episode that's basically an episode of the show within the show)

just finished the season and i still love it. the real show was actually equally silly and melodramatic with skits happening between fights and season long storylines

we got ourself netflix 2 days ago and i tried out rick and morty to see what the buzz was about wich resulted in 8 hours of stoned binge watching. also checked some black mirror episodes and i think its amazing, top shit!

any other things i def gotta see? so much on there it's overwhelming

a bit late on that but an idiot abroad is hilarious, karl exploring whatever shithole is arranged for him to stay in never gets old. floled at how the brazil episode is basically a gay boot camp for karl. also floled when dicks started appearing and accumulating on that beautiful beach.

The Leftovers felt a bit cheated that the last series ended two episodes early, and with a monologue??? Show don't tell fuckers!

Might have to pick up the recent "new" episodes for completeness sake.  Lovely series.

surprisingly good- slightly "distracting" editing (visually and in audio with strange choices of silence)- almost every female in this show looks like a different version of amy adams. and lots of booze. 

i'm digging it

the directing was definitely far too heavy handed, think they're hot shit. hopefully they tone down the stylistic flourishes, but I'm guessing they won't. I'd watch anything with Amy Adams though, ever since I saw her in Junebug, she's great.
