usually never rewatch shows, but Im rewatching true detective season1.

I rewatched it and liked it more the second time. Season 3 was pretty good, imo

i finished upload, it's watchable but it was too sappy and romantic and most of the comedy was based on IA and internet technicalities... not very lols found...

watching the ousider right now, 6 episode in or such, started like ridiculous good but quickly digressed to x-files level, which i wasn't expecting, and honestly it ain't pleasing me that much... the more closer to the end the more facepalms...

What does watmm think of The Walking Dead?

I watched the first season when it first came out (it must of been on Channel 4 or 5 and then they lost the rights to broadcast it) and loved it. Thinking of giving this a spin. Seems a lot of seasons though.

If True Detective season 2 was the story of Ray Velcoro and nobody else it would have been amazing.

Season 3 was very good. Season one just has that incredible dialogue about existentialism from the tortured Rust character. Never thought Id say but McConaughey is an incredible actor

Plus, season 1 relies less on cgi and weird trippy stuff. Kind of takes you out of the show in the other seasons. I liked the angle of the dementia in Season 3 regrading that apect. But there were only a couple scenes in season 1 like that and it was enough.

I watched several more episodes of Black Mirror.

Hated In The Nation was surprisingly cool. Black Museum was so fucked up. I thought the “monkey needs a hug” part was more disturbing than the guy in the first episode who fucks a pig. I enjoyed Metalhead more than most people and USS Callister was so fucking awesome, I don’t care about plot holes.

Watched a couple of episodes of the shivering truth. Very enjoyable, will watch the rest.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

i'm watching normal people.

It is good.

Yeah, that must be relaxing. They seem to become increasingly rare these days.

Dispatches From Elsewhere. Don't know what to think of it yet.

Thanks for the Walking Dead info (still haven't made my mind up)

On episode 5 of Season 1 of Money Heist (its okay, it improved after I switched to English subtitles because the dubbed English was fucking terrible) I'm still not really blown away by it. In fact while I write this I have decided its shit. But I may finish it off. Maybe. Actually I don't think I will.

One thing I have made my mind up about is The Last Dance. I half arsed pressed play on this as I was obviously drunk and just felt like watching something a little different and not usually my cup of tea. I have never watched a basketball game in my life, and I don't think until yesterday I would of even been able to tell you what Mr Jordan looked like. Wow fucking brilliant documentary. Loved it. Fantastic story. Highly recommended. I still will never watch a basketball game in my life.

Started season 2 of Dead to Me. So far season 1 was better, this is feeling a bit forced already. But still enjoying it enough to continue.

Finished Hunters, and will not be watching any future seasons. So messy.

Continuing to watch Insecure. Still really like it.

Need to find a new hour-long series to start. I've been wanting to watch The Outsider but I don't think my g/f is interested.

the outsider - watchable but disappointing, i already told why in my previous post... i'd liked it to be more focused on just a few characters and on that dark/mysterious mood of the first episode but it took too many colorful roads... i don't think i would have kept watching it if it wasn't for Ben Mendelsohn, this guy performance was something else!!!

sick of it s02 - this is miles away from how funny his old shows were but still quite enjoyable... it's not supposed to be cringe comedy but i cringed sometimes which is not a good thing... it happened mostly because of the bluesy/jazzy soundtrack, something in the contrast between it and his goofy personality didn't felt right...

reminds me of Skins' more melancholy moments, they've nailed that teen angst in a genuine way

it's a surprisingly relaxing and "warm" show to watch (at least compared to Run which I'm also watching), I get quite engrossed with the overall mood of it

soundtrack is refreshingly well curated and edited, so much stuff on tv lately is either adequate and safe original music or just a circlejerk of some staffer skimming spotify playlists of indie music

I was very, very happy to read this morning that Anthony Bourdain:Parts Unknown is returning to Netflix (including the few final seasons that were not available last time)

Seriously I love this guy and this program.

Devs is nice, 3 eps in as well.

The new rick and morty episode was pretty terrible, did I miss something, was there another meta layer that somehow made that worthwile? I hope this isn't indicative of the direction they're headed in. lol random/10

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Black Mirror: Striking Vipers aka I’m struggling to get through this episode.

Black Mirror: Smithereens aka that guy from Fleabag is a good actor but this doesn’t have those dank Black Mirror vibes

next up: The grand finale of the Miley Cyrus episode oh wow

This is next up for me.

Finished Devs. I was into it until the last few episodes, then it just started getting annoying. Overall, it was ok.

Finished both seasons of Dark. Quite good. Pretty flawed and SUPER confusing ...

... but entertaining. Really well-cast and well-directed.

Currently watching The Mandalorian. Quite NOTgood.  I’m over 5 episodes in and struggling to find a reason to enjoy it, other than seeing Werner Herzog in a 3rd episode. A lot of our friends have told us to stick with it because it pays off, but I can barely watch another minute of this guy in the helmet doing a Clint Eastwood impression. The story and dialogue are basically like their taken from cinematic interludes in a 3rd rate video game. Seriously, what is the point of this show?

edit

I’m also watching the What We Do In The Shadows series. Lots of fun. Plenty of IRL LOLs.
