What TV series are you watching at moment?

Boardwalk Empire atm, pretty cool

Omg just accidentally clicked on this Mike Myers thing on Netflix called Pentaverate.

Its Mike Myers playing 90% of the cast (probably a covid thing as much as his ideas) and I'm not sure what it's really about. 

But I think it was meant to be a comedy. 

Austin Powers was fun 20 years ago. This is kinda like that but without the fun, and he's older. 

I watched that. It's shit. But I kind of liked it?!

Yeah I watched the first episode in kind of a strange fascination, then it rolled over to e2 and after about 10 mins I had to switch off and sit and think about what I had seen.

After episode 1, skipped to the end of the series, it was just as dumb as expected. Glad I didn’t watch the whole thing.

Finally finished Ozark S4. Dark as fuck. Wendy Bird has to be one of the most unlikable characters around. Like way worse than Skyler White. I'm glad they wrapped it up - trying to drag it out longer would undoubtedly ruin it. As it stands, it's some fine television.
 

Finally watching the Sopranos in sequence from start to finish, I've just been catching the odd episode here and there earlier. It's so fucking good

Speaking of dark shit, S3 of The Boys is fucking twisted. Excellent viewing.

Agreed on all points but I really feel that the wrap up left one more season to be desired. That final scene was a bit wtf?

Finished The Staircase. Good show / amazing cast. Definitely watch the documentary series first tho…

Watching Stranger Things S4 rn. It’s WAAAAAY better than that hot mess they had in S3. It is actually dark and fun again. Maybe not as good as s1 yet but I’m only half way in. Still, there’s some corny AF stuff. Also, the actress who plays nancy is way too skinny. Someone needs to give her a donut or something.

I notice a few Ozark comments above so I wisely closed my eyes. Just wrapping up season 3. It’s true that I rarely watch anything more than once. If I watch it twice or more, then it’s super brilliant. Think I enjoyed it just as much the second run than the first. It really is a superb show. Easily in my top five tv shows. So I get to start season 4 tomorrow

Ozark last season - the most embarrassing thing about this show is that the acting is excellent but the script is fucking ludicrous...

Currently on Sopranos S3E2 - this show, whilst its great, it's extremely painful to watch. The writers really did a good job of making 95% of the characters beyond vile.

Finished The Staircase (HBO) miniseries last night, planning to start the documentary soon. Didn't know about the it before starting the miniseries,

Oh, finished Berry S3 last night too, fucking brilliant. One of my favorite shows of late, really fine example of black comedy. 

I also like berries

Squid Game: Finally got to this. I liked it! The dialogue of the white rich guys felt like a bad Joss Whedon show and the last episode felt a bit tacked on. Otherwise, very entertaining with a nice momentum that reminded me of good manga.

Irma Vep: I'm a big fan of the 90s film, which seems to get better with each viewing. Not really sure where there is going. Amusing, at the very least?

Apparently HALO is pretty shitty according to u guys but it looks pretty slick... should I give it a try or what? I like shitty things...

edit: oh and I'm watching Ozark and apart from the 1st episode of the 2nd part I'm not feeling it at all... it turned into one of those shows that u can watch while you're driving...

Looking forward to this, Pollan's book is fantastic (as are all his books). Highly recommended.

Nah. It's not the fun and janky sort of shitty with it's heart in the right place, it's the slick pompous and boring kind thought up in boardroom meetings.
