Trying to watch season 6 of Rick and Morty, but this show has become unbearable. I'm struggling to get through a 20 minute episode in one sitting. Was it always this bad?

Having a great time with the new Beavis and Butthead. Yay.

I liked it for what it was. They sure set the bar quite high

Yeah, I don't know. So far it feels like 20 minutes of Justin Roiland ad-libbing to half a page of script.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Just binged the shit out of Severance.  I know i'm probably late to the game but - wow.  Great show.  They really mastered the art of cliffhangers haha.

Alright time to find more shit to binge while i'm waiting on a response from a company about getting a job.  (I've been job hunting for 6 months now fml).  Needless to say i've been watching tons of shit while waiting around for responses from companies.  There's not much else to do.

Andor.

i had my doubts because the other star wars spinoff series were totally shit. but Andor delivers. great cast, great writing (which is the real surprise. the didn't just pull shit out of their asses) and it gets really dark and stays that way. gets dystopian which makes sense. shows you how/why the rebellion began. best acting of all the series and of any star wars thing in a long time.

there's actually continuity in the plot.

edit: Can't bring myself to watch The Peripheral. i like the book a lot and know i'll just get pissed off at whatever generic shit they come up with.

incredibly corny, but very fun. i used to read the hardy boys as a kid religiously and it''s mind-bending to think both those brothers were portrayed by these two dorks

Binned Friday Night Lights. There comes a time when you’re sitting there and you ask yourself why the fuck am I actually watching this. If there’s not one single reason why. Then in the skip it goes! I know there’s a lot better things I could be watching. Like Wolf Hall.

I just did the same watching the Netflix Dahmer series. Granted, I had barely gotten into the second episode but that show in particular leaves a residue. I feel a documentary about dahmer is one thing (which I watched) but why does the world need a dramatized series about him? Something about it just seems wrong.

Kinda actually had the same experience with 1899. Dark was great up until the end but this barely grabbed me. Again, episode two and I’m asking myself what is the point? Next.

completely agree. I started watching this series about Teal Swan - The Deep End - and it was making me so angry listening to this woman, and hearing from all these sad sappy people she duped into believing her BS. why am I watching this is definitely what hit me about 30 min in, and so I turned it off! so many other shows, not worth wasting time on stuff that you know will irritate you.

Rewatching The Kingdom/Riget. I love it, and hope the last season is worth the 25(!) year wait.

Also Tokyo Vice. I'll give it 7.0 on the pitchfork scale. Nothing groundbreaking, but touches on a lot of the things i find fascinating about Japan.

1899 is LOST but made by Europeans

i didn't get it. not surprisingly because i never enjoyed (or finished beyond the first episode) lost.

to me this seemed like it was trying to be steampunk version of camp of the saints without the far-right themes on blast

If I could go back in time and unwatch Andor I would.  Holy crap that was a waste of time.  If being slow, stale, and everyone and everything is unlikable is what is deemed as "Adult" entertainment - then consider me a child.

I stopped watching it as well. the production values are really low. Writing and quality control are way below any other star wars franchise adaption

most of the dialogue is generic in a way that its possible to predict what is going to happen during the next 5 minutes without even paying attention

The Sopranos

Nearing the end of the 6th season, I like the character arcs with some, and I especially like the dream and limbo sequences. Otherwise it can be daunting with all the faking (lying), hysteria and violence. I know that's kinda the point, I'm just saying.

yeah. i got Lost vibes too. but we'll see. i'll give it a chance if/when a 2nd season comes around.  kinda knew where it was headed in the final episode of this season. i didn't have high hopes that they'd come up w/something as good/charming as Dark. Dark is good story telling and less focused on "the big plot twist" as a mechanism to make everything else work.

lols. i liked it. so much hate for it here. it's the only spinoff that's been any good imo. i like that it got dark and dystopian.

Andor is the best Star Wars since the OG trilogy imo. I don't understand how anyone could find it boring and uneventful. So sad to see it get shit on all the time.

I think with all of the Andor hate / love that it's purely subjective - all based around personal preferences.  I do not like slow burning political dramas in general, I don't like things like the Sopranos either.  Too much talking and not enough shit going on.  Andor to me is lacking all of the bits and pieces why I love Star Wars to begin with, the action, likeable characters, the force, aliens / creatures, occasional light heartedness or comic relief, an active moving plotline, etc.  To me what this show is is a political drama / science fiction that has little to nothing to do with Star Wars.

The Mandalorian on the other hand had all of those things I love, also had a dark and gritty gunslinger vibe - which gave it the adult vibe I was hoping for.  To me this is the best post Original Trilogy Star Wars.  Not including all of the expanded universe novels that I consumed and loved growing up.
