At the time, instead of buy the Joyrex J9 pic disc, it was just cheaper to buy the real drum machine and set it round on your turntable.

Oh yeah there's really nothing else like Wagon Christ - Phat Lab. Nightmare. and that's kind of good too because I never like that album aside from "Dances With Francis".

the 606 i bought in 2005 cost me £60.

as you can see, it was in pretty decent condition.

the prices that thing goes for now are fucking riddick.

one of the weakest things for that era of Roland, but still quite good. not worth more than $100 in my opinion.

What's your take on 707?

well, if you listen to my music, you'll hear me using it "quite a lot". so i like it.

I knew you used it. I always just thought the sounds on it were a lot cheaper sounding and wondered if you actually preferred it to a 606.

...being there are other reasons to use a 707 like sync and stuff.
