Are you capable of surviving?

aren't there a couple of veterans on this board? Their skills will be of the utmost necessity.

Man, I just read this thread now. I have never been in any frame of mind to adequately handle something like this. I'm a graphic designer paid to sit in a chair all day, and along with that, I'm pretty passive, so I'd have to amp up the alpha male in me. Then, I'd need to get in much better shape.

Once that's settled, I still have no fucking survival techniques at all. I have a little fire-starting flint, and a ton of lighters if that helps.

I'd nick those lighters off you faster than you can say "lighter thief game".
