your best bet appears to be playing it in windows 98 in Parallels, not sure if your mac can handle that

it's not on steam and it's notoriously hard to get to work on modern systems (i have windows XP and had to mess around with compatibility/emulation settings loads).

It was never released for Mac. LucasArts stopped supporting Mac around the time The Curse of Monkey Island came out and I was so fucking devastated that I couldn't play it. Less than 6 months later I got a PC and CMI. Pure bliss. Anyway, there is a thing called Grim X for Mac that should let you play the PC version of Grim Fandango on a Mac, but I have no idea how it works or rather if it works.

i have no idea how to work a mac but i was just curious and found this:

have ResidualVM up and running here, fresh off svn. works fine! I think they'll include all that stuff into ScummVM at a certain point.. Myst 3 and Journeyman Project 2 are also supported, only they are not fully playable yet.

I heard the Residual port is missing some shit towards the end and can crash frequently in the middle of the game. I've been watching youtube gameplay recently, to be honest because I never picked up the game back then, although I regret that. I too am waiting for a stable port for Grim Fandango on Mac.

I wish someone there had mentioned Portal. Especially at the point where dude said "Adventure games weren't really about adventure, they were about...solving puzzles." So if he thinks Limbo is not an adventure game, how about Portal? All the objectives are about solving puzzles. It has great dialogue and characterization. Would be interesting to hear them debate it.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

I guess he means the action element is lacking in point and click adventure games... you could never die, or kill the game by making bad decisions in LucasArts adventures.
