Listening to John Peel's son on the radio is the only thing that coud possibly come close to replacing listening to John Peel. There is so much simiarity in his mannerisms - the delivery of his announcments between tracks and the range of music played that at least a part of the Peel shaped hole is filled.

RIP John

Long live Tom

Woah, I honestly had no idea his son became a radio DJ - Definitely fantastic new that he's carrying the torch for giving exposure to this kind of music.

EDIT: Just listened to a clip, yeah it's really spooky hearing such similarities in the tone and rhythm of his voice.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Thirded.

Love Leila, thanks for the heads up....though there appears to be no tracklist for the mix, like he said there is on the site?

Three pages of tunes in there, apparently, a hell of a mix regardless.

Digging this playlist! Thanks for posting this, I don't listen to proper radio shows as much as I should (beyond local stations)

And holy shit, my wife is good friends with the singer in one of these bands, A Giant Dog. Saw them in January actually. What a pleasant surprise hearing them on BBC6!

Yeah it was about packed and brilliantly mixed without being too chaotic or "mash-up" sounding. Quite an accomplishment. I heard Chicks On Speed mixed in there, the rest was new to be (besides "Inchworm" of course)
