This made 6music news this afternoon on the Radcliffe & Maconie show, their satirical "this just in" section featuring the worst of the days music news.

Not to far into the show, before the Plan B track I think it was - http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b01d8rsc

Basically, this just in, Boards of Canada are not releasing a new album. Quite funny though, and they mentioned that Warp records had made a press announcement telling everyone to calm down. Is this true?

I love BoC, more than anyone else, but you guys sound fucking creepy, if they read this thread they're probably scared now of going outside for a milk.

Nah, you're a wee child who can't wait for official release. Embarrassing. Shove your privilege.

Scots have a reputation for being tight (as in don't give much away of anything personal) and bloody miserable.

Nice to see you Sandisons keep up that tradition.

Why even put up the black box then? Last time they did that the TCH ep was announced a few months later.

:cerious:

it's simply just to keep the rumour-mill going round and keep people talking about them and the possibilities of a new album.

isn't it so blatantly obvious? after so long? if not then it should be!

I agree with beerwolf. people should just leave the whole 'new album topic' alone for good. it's a complete non-starter.
