Remaster of Loveless is a godsend. Though some missteps: 1) The discs have been improperly labeled. 2) You can hear half a second of the track before @ the header of each track - leading myself to re-edit track ins and outs in an editor in accordance to the 2008 promo 3) There is damage to "What You Want" on the analogue master 4) There are typos on the packaging on Isn't Anything regarding credits.

From what I can tell the new release is exactly the same as the one that leaked in 08 (I've only been listening to the digital mix).

I can't believe they would release two versions of the same album which sounds virtually identical (to my ears) and then mislabel them! They made it 2 cds so they could charge more right? The actual music is so good that I guess they can get away with such ridiculousness.

if you can't hear the difference, I would suggest getting your ears checked.

Or, get better headphones :)

Man. I could easily tell the difference on the crappiest desktop speakers known to man ( with 128kbs mp3 files). Try playing individual tracks side to side. The new ones definitely pop out a bit.

I don't think that it sounds totally different. It just sounds better.

I just picked up The new Isn't Anything CD.

Does anyone else have this?

It sounds good but the vocals seem a little more overpowering. Maybe it's me, but I don't remember them being as present. Everything else seems a bit lower in the mix. Haven't listened to it in the car yet tho. That'll b the test.

i don't mean differences with the old version, as i dont have it anymore to compare. i meant differences between the two versions in the reissue. i just have mp3s, but better than 128.

The DAT tape remaster is exactly the same as the version released in 1991, except it is just louder.

The Analogue tape remaster is noticeably different from any version released before.

I'll probably grab Loveless. I don't champion Isn't Anything enough to warrant a vinyl purchase.

Foh even the T-shirts have a 2018 “release date”.
