New Tool record end of year?

been listening to bootlegs (not made with phones) and getting to know the songs. i had been wondering what maynard's parts would be like. i'm liking it. descending is a huge song. this album is going to be good.

i already forgot that tool has a new album coming out...hope it's good, either way it will sound like tool.

Hard to believe this is just a month away!  

Also announced on IG and mentioned in that Loudwire link: Full discography available to stream on all major platforms August 2.

I'm happy about TOOL on spotify actually, and I kind of like the title Fear Inoculum.

Amazing they held out this long against having their back catalogue on streaming services... I guess they couldn't ignore the present reality of the music industry anymore...

yea, it looks like if you fold it in between the two 'o's - it makes a needle

Looking forward to this. I'm not the worlds biggest Tool fan but Lateralus is a 10/10 album in my most humble of opinions.

Not counting the transition tracks, that's an average of 12 minutes per track!

^yeah, gonna be mostly some proggy twisty turny longform songs no doubt, not surprised by that aspect of things as that's where they've been generally heading. just surprised they pared their writing/recording down to just 85 minutes of tunes. unless they recorded two albums and have another in their pockets? i mean they spent a month or two or more in the studio right? and it has been like 12 years since the last album so....everyone's been expecting this to maybe be their 'last' album and i guess i just assumed they were gonna go all out and do 2+ hours. i'll be listening to it no matter what of course.

(the eyes graphic is pretty cool and i kinda like the new logo/font, good to hear they're still gonna do a video but hopefully it won't be absolutely ridiculous like their last couple)

okay i'm an idiot, 85 minutes is definitely over the limit for one CD, didn't even think about that. but why do a double album if it's barely over the regular album time? idk like.....just, idk. lol

A lot of bands have done that. Embryonic from flaming lips fit on one cd but they made it a double album. It’s just pure speculation on my end but if the art is going to revolve around 2 sides it would further the concept by having 2 sides of the album. They generally keep their themes pretty tight. 

Amd I may just have to keep this avatar...
