I hope that's a joke, or that the music is delightfully ugly to fit.

ive never been a fan of their art direction in print or video but this is a new low. just fucking awful. it is not even bad in an ironic way, it is just piss poor. i dont want to look at it anymore because i think the music is going to be awesome and i dont want to picture that mess, it will ruin it for me.

You're lying on your bed with your eyes closed, listening to Centipede Hz thinking "woah they did it again, this album rocks". As the needle stops, you carefully get up to flip the record, trying to look directly at the turntable but you really want to know what was the name of the last track so you pick up the record sleeve and see the cover and you're like holy jesus on a pogo stick I just can't handle this and smash the record and burn the sleeve

God awful "artwork".

I like the cover. it looks like the kind of thing you could easily zone out to while staring at it and listening to the music.

if it was some chillwave artist then people would find it referential and nostalgic and awesome

This, and I like it. If I were to guess what was on that album just by the cover, I would guess witch house or glo-fi. Comes a bit late though, would've looked cooler a year or two ago.

Stuff like Salem and Chuck Person. The kind of stuff a ton of people hate because a huge amount of it is just slowed down and cut up pop songs.

It might be referring to something from the past (bad early digital art? geocities pages from 1997?) but it is still bad.
