Whe I was a kid i remer it as the ketchup always came on the burger unless you ordered one without.

Now the burgers always comes without ketchup if you don't specifacly order it with ketchup ..exept for the small ones at McD, BK and the fancy ones in resturants?

Is this an international trend or is it just over here?

fast food places always put it on. everywhere else most likely not.

so can you explain the positioning of that burger?

The place served fries in a paper bag but i saw they had plates and i felt like trying the fries on a plate but there where not enough room on the plate for the burger and not enough room on the tray for another plate and then everything derailed

Looks can be deceiving. Which is why i haven't posted any of the burgers i've eaten recently. They've all looked pretty substandard but tasted AMAZING.

I almost had a breakdown and went to McDonald's for lunch, but then I remembered this thread and had turkey on wheat.

true...i have been eating a lot of junk food lately. had a pizza the other night, probably have a curry (homemade though) tonight. oh well fuck it.

MaX's Delifresh Low Carb Burger.

It has no bread but extra large salad leafs instead.

Tastes good but is messy to eat.

edit: and again, not served with ketchup!

Is ketchup mostly a United States thing? The rest of the world seems to treat ketchup with disdain.

Ketchup is for people who don't like flavor.

Sriracha is my ketchup. If you've never dipped fries (chips) in sriracha then you should.

in the UK there are people who put ketchup on everything they eat. sometimes they'll only eat chicken nuggets, chips and crisps (or just one of those), but still. there are people who have a phobia of anything with tomatoes in it (i met a girl who wouldn't decant ketchup even though it was part of her job, because of this phobia) i've met these people and seen them on television.

My girlfriend is a bit weird about tomatoes as well. She won't eat anything with tomato on it, and only in recent years have I been able to get her to try salsa and ketchup, which she apparently enjoys in small doses.
