I live opposite The Cellar in Southampton and they've just started a new specialist burger menu, so popped in for lunch and got a falafel burger. Holy shit it was one of the best burgers I've had in a while, especially as vegetarian burgers can be rather shoddy at times. It would have been perfect had I ordered a beer with it (they do a seriously amazing selection of craft beers), but I just woke up so it was a tad too early for that. To top it off, when they bought it out Schottkey 7th Path started blasting through their system. It was a pretty lush moment.

home-grilled, with fries from the fry daddy, finally a beautiful day for it. tasted better than it looks!

Not a burger person but the fridge was empty yesterday so I sprung for a $10 restaurant burger. It had blue cheese on it, which was tastier than expected. It also had a long black hair sticking out the bottom which the waitress saw me discover. I ate it anyway (it took ages to make so I was starving, also she said it was on the house).

What's your reaction to alien hair in your burger? Should I have held back?

Going to try it this weekend. We're planning on hickory smoking/slow cooking some beef burgers so I'm going to throw in the ground bacon... mm

I've tried this, and it was ok, but I prefer the simplicity of a really tasty, juicy, pure burger patty with the option to go crazy on toppings. A really good burger with some good quality bacon on top would have been better.

yeah hair in food does not bother me atall. just pluck it out, its not like its gonna affect the taste of the food, and unless you've got the immune system of an AIDs victim im pretty sure a bit of hair is not gonna make you sick.

Oh, it looks like shit compared to an actual good burger. But it looks like 5 star dining compared to burger king here in my city. lol
