I don't like a lot of low tempo downbeat dubstep-ey electronic music I've heard that could be classed as similar to the xx. I don't like the other songs and remixes Jamie xx has been making since that album either. To me the xx album sounds so natural, relaxed and at ease with itself, and kind of tropical. I played a lot of Call of Duty Nazi Zombies while listening to it on repeat.

I dithered about this album for ages, then took the plunge when the extended version was released:

Ever since it's gotten right under my skin, which Machinedrum hasn't ever done before. As far away from the usual suspects as could be for me.
