I am not sure about the time, but I do remember a slight glitch towards the end of the CD. Nothing major.

Anyone else got the jitter/glitch noise at 50:24 on the CD release ? An easy fix when I rip it to my 'puter, just curious ...

Right here. Exactly the same time - it stuck out like a sore thumb within the context of the section of music where it happens - I noticed it on the first playthrough. I tried a few other disc players, but it happened with each device. No visible marks or scratches either.

I contacted the label ( info [at] echospacedetroit.com ) and they tested 3 other copies and didn't have the same problem, but very kindly offered to send me a replacement copy, no charge. I suggest you get in touch - there's obviously a bad batch of discs.

Checked my copy and there is indeed a slight static burst at exactly that time, but meh, can't be bothered to get a replacement.

This is really REALLY good. Cannot stop listening.

Hear, hear. I'm especially digging Lisbon and Rippling, and it's nice to hear an alternate version of Symbolism in Transition.

Beyond that, I don't think anyone following the current dub techno scene, myself included, is in the dark about the fact that most of the music being made right now, by anyone, within that template, is largely "comfort food" and not meant in any way shape or form to do anything new or innovative. It's essentially the same thing that happened to synth-driven ambient music in the 1990s, or IDM in the early 2000s - the tools and process were demystified and then everyone was doing it - and that is not to say that no one made anything good anymore if there wasn't an envelope to push, but that some people just like listening to more of the same. For sake of my point, I can't think of anything I listen to beyond dub techno that is more repetitive and homogenized - however I enjoy it and appreciate it for the consistency that it offers, and just like all the dozens of ambient or IDM albums I own, it's completely reliable/predictable in a good way when the mood strikes.

That was very well said Sir and I wholeheartedly agree.

Do anyone know where I can buy the cd release?

There is so many echospace detroit releases I want, but I can't seem to find the cd releases anywhere (for a fair price).

Discogs have people selling it, 20ish euros/bucks is rather acceptable for it, considering...What CD releases are you looking for? They haven't had that many CD releases. The Vantage Isle Sessions and Model 500 CDs aren't that hard to find. They just rereleased the Brock van Wey double CD.

How does this label stay in business?? Overpriced is an understatement. Good on them they've convinced a fan base it's worth it, but it wreaks of hipsterism, just to brag you own it. $65 for a triple 12", sure. $80 for a DVD, why not?

If you want quality boutique hand made shit, support a label like Tusk, or even Mordant Music. Does anyone know these Echospace people? How do they justify their approach? I'm curious.
