would be cool, but they better have good downsampling for midi out as that data rate would rape midi's anus.

everytime this thread gets bumped up I think "1.0 is out!" only to come in here and be disappointed. :(

It seems like they might have assembled a small in-house beta team or just used close friends. The whole beta signup was probably marketing on some level.

ya I'm sure that was a component. Anyways a lot of big software releases have multi-stage beta testing. Starting a new thing with a small group for detailed feedback, then push to a larger group after things are a bit more worked out. I mean gmail was in beta for like 6 years or something like that. FB does the sam thing with new features.

are there any hints on price? I'll get it if it's not like €300 or something. ATM I must admit I'm very happy with reaper + numerology.

A buddy of mine is using this same combo and loves it.

Bitwig is supposed to have no PDC issues (while Live 9 beta still has much :/) : if true, it might be a huge reason to ditch Live.

The only thing I miss in Reaper is a nice CC mapping (with custom min/max values) as in Live. Whenever Reaper adds this I may ditch Live and only use Reaper and Numerology. Meanwhile, I use Live to host plugins...

I hope it's true 'cos I hate darts and I'm fed up having to play a match before Live allows me to use any sidechain compression.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Plugin delay compensation. Most plugins induce some latency and Live deals with it in a pretty weird way. It can creates phase issues through out a mix, can totally mess timing too.

On the contrary, Reaper deals with it quite successfully. Cubase too, from what I've read.

When using 3rd party plugins, proper PDC can make a DAW sound better than others.

According to some guy on gearslutz, who visited Bitwig's booth at NAMM and asked them about that issue, Bitwig is *supposed* to have properly working PDC. Which, if true, is great news.

Hmm, I'm not sure what this is but it sounds like something you could script into Reaper. The thing is ridiculously customizable. But you probably already knew that so maybe it's not something that could be scripted.

Unfortunately I haven't find anything in Reaper which come close to that :

Live%20CC.png

Here in French, but you have certainly already recognized that menu, when you are in MIDI mapping mode. You can set precisely the minimum and maximum values of modulation of any mapped parameter (the same you can in Numerology with ParamMod if you're familiar with it).

Whenever Reaper adds such feature, I'll no longer have any reason to use Live. I already mix in Reaper, and I love that DAW.

Oh man, I'm SURE there's a way to do that in Reaper. My friend has become quite adept with Reaper lately so he might know. I'll pass this post along to him and see if he has any ideas.

That'd be fantastic, thank you !!!

There are some kind of work-arounds using ReaControlMIDI and such, but it's not half as precise and is painful to use.

Yeah, I wouldn`t mind having such a feature either, so let`s vote for it :)
