when i mentioned fans before i was talking about nowadays. now a label can easily get a gist of what people like and don't like.

back in 1989 things were very different, and in fact their first releases were pretty much of the time and fairly fashionable anyway.

you sound like an angry auzzy prick. and yes i love 2 unlimited. they shit on most auzzy bands, even now. and they shit on you too. lol

BEN FROST

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.

Pretty much every single artist on Rephlex. That way, stuff would actually get released.

yeah I have the feeling that being signed to rephlex delays output quite a bit if they don't continue to release on other labels as well

hi warp records i'm interested in joining your record label. could you please have a representative message me and tell me what i need to do to make this happen in the next 10 years?

I don't know why Luke Vibert isn't on Warp. I've become a recent convert to his quality, having realised that Aphex Twin's melodic tendencies have been influenced by him. I think he makes better acid as well.

Actually 2003's YosepH was released on Warp wasn't it..but I mean I don't know why he isn't a permanent Warp act.

but what if all these mediocre acts made a release like oversteps possible? If warp went into hiatus with the old roaster and started signing bands just for the sake of it and not for money they would have died by now

I think Autechre would self publish.

Seriously though, they need more bands like PVT. I remember almost everyone on watmm hated them when they were first signed; then they came out with two fucking awesome albums and quite a few people changed their opinion completely.

Then again, it doesn't matter to me since there are so many amazing bands with a similar style that I see all the time in Melbourne.

I always loved Pivot / PVT

they should sign loads of indie rock bands

meanwhile - the local maternity ward - nurse comes in with a great big sledgehammer
