Not at all, I guess i just have a very broad definition of what drone music is.

i think it's unlikely that there is a sharp cut off between drone and non-drone, but i still think it's fairly clear what people have in mind when talking about drone. focusing on opn, i would say that this track is pretty clearly on the drone end of the spectrum:

you could, of course, find tracks that are harder to classify, but generally i think drone is just the more minimal, sustained end of the ambient spectrum, which itself forms a spectrum with lots of other minimal kinds of music
