Awesome, may have to look into it, been needing a good driving game for a while... Need For Speed Rivals was terrible.

 

Eurogamer gave it a 6/10 - shocking considered it was delayed to supposedly make it better...

Eurogamer also can't tell their asses from their elbows. Wouldn't put too much faith in anything they write. Actually, that applies to pretty much every review site. They're all idiots.

I read reviews for what they are - opinions, sometimes by informed people who know more about something than I do. I find their reviews tend to jive with my sensibilities when it comes to games, so while I don't put 100% stock in everything they say, I do use it when gauging whether a game is worth my ever-decreasing time.

Yeah, it's a bit sad, because the idea behind it seemed intriguing, and I liked the first few Motorstorm games - you'd think Evolution Studios would still have the magic...

Not yet, I think it's out tomorrow, but it's only sort of an extended demo, you get access to one country and a limited number of cars as far as I could understand. I'll definitely take it for a swing though. Edited October 7, 2014 by Gocab

Gametrailers gave Driveclub an 8.6, one of the only opinions I need tbh. That and Edge.

 

IGN are too chicken shit to give a high profile game they don't like a bad score.

 

Gamespot just hate every game they play.

Went ahead and copped the Silent Hill HD collection for PS3. I haven't played any SH since the original, so I probably won't notice how badly Konami fucked these games up.

vib ribbon was pretty cool (although it's really short). the original music was pretty rad. tried playing some tracks off come to daddy. iz-us is way easier than bucephalus bouncing ball (duh)

I was going to buy DriveClub, then I found out that the weather system will come with a later patch. I will now wait for that patch to release before buying it.

My wife is super excited for Alien: Isolation and I don't want her to be heartbroken. This is causing a degree of anxiety that I hadn't counted on, given thinly-veiled requests for A:I as an XMAS_EVET gift.

 

Also, will it suck on last gen consoles? Will the praised/maligned AI be significantly dumbed down?

 

I had to stop her from buying Colonic Marines (for me, then) and it was an emotionally harrowing experience.
