Questions from a PS4 n00b, I'm contemplating buying two consoles, one for my US home, and another to use in the Middle East. I know the downloads are region free, so I'm wondering:

1. can you download the same PS4 game twice on two different consoles with the same PSN ID? 2. Does it have cross play where I can pick up my saves on the other console?

3. Does it have an SD slot or physical media to back up game saves for travel?

4. Is there a limit to how many times you can download a title, or how many devices it can be activated on?

Thx

  1. Yes - as long as it is the same PSN ID you are signed in on each console.
  2. No SD, but does have USB ports. No need for game saves - they go into the cloud with your PSN account.
  3. There used to be (5 downloads), but they have since lifted that limit.

3. (Re: Devices) Strictly speaking, only two consoles can share one download if one is activated as the primary console for an account. Any account can access the game on the primary console, but only the account the download was purchased from can access it on a secondary console.

Confusing? It should be, because it's dumb. Also, if you do activate a console as a primary console, you can only deactivate via that console, you can override this on a PC but only every 6 months. Or if you're desperate, email customer service citing whatever circumstance and they'll do it for you.

Like JR said, you can download as many times as you like, but you can only spread it across two consoles, (multiple accounts on the primary console, one account on the secondary).

Also, Street Fighter V is ace. But I need modes that aren't a grindfest like Survival.

Just played Dr Langeskov, a free to play game by the designer of Stanley Parable. Really fun imo, lasts for about 15mn but really well done. Of course you can compare it to Stanley Parable but it's totally not the same thing narration-wise. Kind of a british sense of humor in every bit of the game I guess some people here could enjoy it !

ya american nards. post up your psn or cfn ids to get murked in sfv

I doubt it - Think Konami have all the rights tied up in that franchise (yes of course we all wanted a Pachinko machine of it Konami, of course we did). I mean it could be a Silent Hills type game, but it'll have to be different enough (certainly in name) for the lawyers not to kick up a fuss !

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Shit, that hasn't stopped the folks behind Allison Road from doing their thang - other than the recognizable name, Kojima-Del-Toro-Reedus could call it "Norm's House" and I'd play that shit in a heartbeat.

NOTHING about the PT demo(s) said "Silent Hill" to me, so I think they are good with continuing sans the trademark name (and I hope they do).

re: #2. that's only if you're paying for ps+ though, correct?

played a good bit of sfv on ps4 last nite. didn't have any issues w/legacy stick support. ranked matches seemed fine as i had connection requirements set to 5 bars. lobbies seemed to be functioning but as they were all 2 man lobbies everyone i tried to enter was full. trying to make mika work again but i just can't get my head around her really well

There's only 2 man lobbies at the moment - update in March.

Completed the main game of the The Witness, challenging and interesting, enjoyed it. Trying the challenge now but it's tough.

Also playing The Division beta. Seems like a strong competitor to Destiny but we'll see. The Dark Zone free for all is very intense, I'm surprised they put something as brutal into a mainstream game.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

Added my PSN handle, I'll be playing co-op stuff like Borderlands, Battlefield, COD, maybe The Division. and a lot of Japanese stuff and RPGs. The Witness is as good as you guys were claiming.

Any other co-op recommendations watmm is currently playing?

afaik i usually place all my cum drops on scientifically sterilized glass slides which are carefully frozen and placed in trash cans throughout the city labelled "for women ❤️ alco" with my social security and phone numbers.

Supposedly a source within Nintendo has leaked what we all pretty much thought, a port of Zelda Wii U will launch alongside the NX in time for holiday 2016. More proof is incoming.

Yes. They're just doing exactly what they did with Twilight Princess.

Still on XCOM 2, and restarted my second campaign from the save right after the first "Gatecrasher" mission. I think I'm finally closing in on the best overall approach. On top of that, I'm a month in and haven't lost a single soldier yet. Though that might change once I finish the Blacksite mission on this playthrough...

XCOM 2 is hard for sure, but I've learned it's even harder if you don't know what you're doing.

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

better save my pennies for the nx..

I think they're trying to sit on that info at least til E3, if everyone knows Zelda will be on NX, I can see a lot of people canceling their Wii U preorders, and possibly selling their consoles to get trade in for the NX stuff. Either way they make money, but damn that system is in a tail spin.

Hopefully it won't cost more than a mid range graphics card so everybody wins.

Except those that just bought a WiiU.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

so far I'm not too impressed, just seems like another generic 3rd person shooter, where Ubisoft promises more than they can deliver. The menus are a little confusing, the UI is cluttered and the text is too small, you can hardly see what you're shooting at, and the cross hairs are badly designed. I still can't tell if Square button is reloading my weapons manually, or if it only reloads when it's empty.

Is Final Fantasy X:2 the most camp game ever? Playing the HD remaster right now. Combat and character development are both p lush at least.

I just did and I have to say I'm kind of disappointed by Nintendo's strategy although it was highly previsible.

I knew the NX would come out pretty quickly but I thought Nintendo would try to support the Wii U a bit longer, especially with the load of stuff they did to keep it alive recently.

That sums it up pretty well. After being spoiled by Destiny's combat, Division feels a lot less smooth. It also can't seem to decide if it wants to be gritty and realistic, with its destructible environments and pretty weather effects, or cartoonish RPG with enemies having bulletproof hoodies and gangs of people with flamethrowers.

I can dig it, though. The Dark Zone is really, really fun. My main concern is how much of the non-dark zone content will be as fun or interesting, and important to the end-game.

Still stuck on the Witness challenge. Figured out one of the "meta" puzzles related to it but I just can't solve the tiles quick enough.

Street Fighter V - VERY barebones (March would be a good time to pick it up since that's when all the stuff that should have been in it at launch will be there), but if you have a friend to play against, incredibly fun.

oh did you pick it up jr? i played a ton of ranked over the weekend. barely cracking ~1000lp. kept going back and forth on long winning/losing streaks. need to brush up on my mika corner shenanigans because that's where the magic happens. i've definitely started to notice dropped inputs using a legacy stick and the first big tournament in atlanta next month has banned legacy support so looks like i'll be upgrading...

still taking way too long between ranked matches (i'd say anywhere from 1-3 mins on average) but maybe some of that will get resolved with the server maintenance later today. been using the extra time to my advantage. lifting weights, pushups, squats, etc. if i play this game enough i'm gonna get totally ripped
