What's wrong with Fanthony Antanafanthananthio? Even if I don't exactly share his taste, I think he does a nice job describing what it is about the music -- the music itself, unlike so many reviews that just focus on the 'story' of the artist(s) -- that he thinks is good.

i like his podcast. i've discovered many artist and bands through him. sure his reviews are pretty subjective but like you said, you get a feel about the sounds of the records he reviews.

yeah I actually find his reviews fairly entertaining and honest. definitely differences in tastes with electronic music but thats expected from more "indie" "pitchfork" centered critics.

Anthony Fantano's descriptions of the music sound more intense and interesting than the music itself, on occasion. He has a way with words. Also it'd be a bit ridiculous if this thread went to 200 pages before the release
