once again, ae shows that they are the masters of album closers. the recks on/YJY UX combo is beyond amazing.

agreed, it's really nice

this whole album is going to take a lot of time to settle in, but this kicks the shit out of oversteps

nah...apples and oranges. Quit slagging oversteps you un-subtle beat junkies, lol

i don't mean to totally discount oversteps, this album still lies directly in oversteps shadow; exai seems to take the best parts out of the three past LPs and melds them into something so much greater than the summation of past experiments

Do the FLACs off Bleep have the same issues that are reported with the 24-bit WAVS, or should they be okay?

I believe it's only on the 24bit wavs.

The 30 second samples really did this album no justice at all

Understatement of the year.

FLACS are fine. I re-encoded to Apple Lossless since I can't be bothered to ditch iTunes.

Just finished disk 1, really loving this so far.

Ditto here

"recks on" How bout when it drops out around the 4min mark?!? Geez. So good.

YEP

Haven't listened to this yet and won't get a chance for a while but is it washable, sorry, is it possible that the 24 bit WAVs are unmastered?

I'm actually totally blown away by this album. I had EXTREMELY high expectations with all of the hype and it has thus far blown me the fuck away. Not even finished the album yet, last two minutes of recks on.

I remember now. T ess Xi...that was one that by the end I was completely amazed. That esoteric, ancient sounding chord pattern that comes to the forefront by the end of the track...sublime.

Thanks. I'll commence downloading them later on after all the hubbub has died down.

You're part of the hubbub, lurker

Amazing album. BUT, i really have to let it grow. Love the sounds, love the ambience, love the track lengths, BUT, it is still a puzzle to me. As were Confield, Draft and Untilted. I really feel this album gives me the same ammount of listenings (before i really get it) as those incredible albums.

on first listen, the album is above and beyond anything i could have possibly comprehensively dreamed of, not purely in a positive way, just altogether. it made me have a HEDSPLOSION

dude. I've had it for almost a month now and I'm still like :cerious::emotawesomepm9::music:

Doesn't seem likely that the 24 bit wavs were unmastered but it is possible I suppose that they are audibly less compressed or differently mastered in some other way to the 16 bit versions. since the site is down I can't get an alt version to comapre. That blast of white noise was a bit of shock though. I'm listening on some fairly serious equipment and other than that obvious glitch everything sounds fine to me. Huge, spacious and most importantly (musically) 100% killer. Best Ae since ... erm Draft?. Maybe best Ae, period.

indeed... .. .in the beginning i was even thinking 1 year of buying ep7 or not...not a lie. it took me 1 year to let that one grow on me. I came from early jungle, reggae and some early d&b...i think it was because of Big Loada i wanted to hear more from the warp label... .. .i saw that abstract cover, gave it a try and was like

One year later i tried again...i was sold. Don't know why, but ever since i buy Autechre albums :yeah:

one of the stand out tracks for me so far. The main melody becomes darker and more daunting as the track progresses - love it.
