Interestingly, the images on each vinyl are different to the master image. I originally thought that they could be pieced together to form the main Exai cover but they do not. They also have a third colour of squares just like the stickers. Maybe form a completed new image? Can't decide if all four go together, and if so, which side (as each side is different) and which way round?

tried that, the patterns seem quite disconnected.

one thing i have noticed though is that it smells lush!

so we've got lush sounds, sights, feels (assuming the Cairn Eco Kraft stock with clear foil block to front slipcase feels like heaven), and now SMELLS???

have autechre ever encoded secret meanings or puzzles into their music or artwork? i seriously doubt they would do anything that pretentious and silly

Postie just dropped it off. No vinyl yet, although I think that's coming through Parcelforce instead.

And for the purposes of completeness (although not sure why one has details and the other doesn't?)

got my CD today, with another pair of stickers! What to do with them...

Expected the CD-packaging to be larger, but didn't thought the stickers would be that big !

CDs arrived a few tracks ago, meh. Will listen to the radio show this evening and tomorrow evening, hope I'll like them.

If anybody still hasn't either gotten a copy or ordered one, you might be interested to know that Amazon is selling the CDX2 set for $9.99 right now. I pre-ordered and just saw my purchase price had dropped five bucks.

Nope, but if people in the UK are getting theirs already mine should be on the way

CD arrived...yay! But was the album only mixed for headphones or something?? Or is the CD mastered a certain way? A lot of it (though not every track) sounds really weird and weak in my car in comparison to all other music (and other autechre.) And I can't crank it; it sounds off and a little painful on the ears when I do. A bunch of tracks (1 1 is for example) are totally bass-shy when it comes to the lower lows. I'll take mono-ey Autechre that I can crank in the car over headphone bliss any day... :-/

Vinyl turned up Friday morning, still no CD, I ordered them together as well. It's going to pain me to unwrap it later today, if I do I suppose I should finally do the same with the Ufabulum vinyl as well. Got the shipping notification for the Japanese CD Saturday morning.

I think your most logical takeaway would be: autechre didn't mix exai for car audio

is elusive around? I need to know how I should position my reflector plates for Exai. If you read this elusive do you have the plates at a 45 degree angle from center position and if not what is your setup then. I know i'm close but I was just listening to spl9 and I could tell there was a small delay
