No, but going off subject so much it fills up two fucking pages is a waste of time.

i only remember 10 or so posts, but maybe it kept on after i checked it last.

(keyosc) did sound pretty sweet the once or twice i listened to it. actually, this reminds me i haven't listened to Exai in like a week or two. i wonder what'll stand out differently to me.

my favorite autechre album at the moment. it transcends the genre

the only problem is that our brains in 2013 are so accostumed to being able to shit all over something and pass on

that we really don't know how to handle something this great

I'd burned Exai to two discs for work but then got hold of (key osc) so had to burn disc 2 again.

I gave the extra disc 2 to a work colleague who's never heard of Autechre but is a fellow weirdo and is in to scifi and other nerdy pursuits.

That was two weeks ago, last night he listened to it and I got these text messages from him (he sends all texts in unpunctuated full caps as he believes they should be used like telegrams)

"THAT CD YOU GAVE ME SOUNDS LIKE ZX SPECTRUM SUBVERSIVE CULT MUSIC. I LOVE IT"

I told him I'd bring him in a copy of disc 1 the next day, his reply was:

"THANKS I REALLY LIKE IT THE ONLY PROBLEM IS IT KEEPS ON TRYING TO DOWNLOAD THE SCHEMATICS FOR A PLASMA RIFLE INTO MY BRAIN BUT I JUST SEND IT A TELEPATHIC MESSAGE THAT MY PRIMITIVE CARBON BASED HARD DRIVE CANT ENMESH THE DATA"

I decided to give him a copy of every ae album

I noticed a general similarity between Exai synths and the ones on AFX - Backdoor.Netshadow -- it's cool

nice track but i don't hear deco loc-ness much in there.

I do actually. The constant beat that's there, and every now and then some changes are made in the extra sounds.

Also, I don't get how anyone can find it a good track, the vocals are so ugly.

I haven't actually heard Exai yet because I haven't been able to get the discs out of the cardboard sleeves - I might have to buy the download version.

^ lol that happened to me before on some cardboard-sleeve-release... I think it was Meam - The L.

Very annoying. It gets easier after a while, but it makes you paranoid you might break both the disk and the sleeve the first few times.
