Hey TDR: just in case you wanna rip this off, it's a recursive fractal based on the Thue-Morse sequence. A little lower curve becomes "low curve, line, high curve, line", and vice versa for an upper curve. As for the rows, their flip state is decided directly by the Thue-Morse sequence (low, high, high, low, high, low, low, high...)
