Nebraska
i believe everyone should watch this documentary- especially if you've never seen this documentary- if anything, just because you'd never believe people like this still exist. it does get a little repetitive after a while, only because their lifestyle is all about going nowhere but the complete bottom of the barrell (and that's if you consider the top being a guest on the jerry springer show) Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/75962-films-recently-watched/page/175/#findComment-2097449 Share on other sites

DePalma is as stylish as always, it all absolutely zips along, entertaining the whole way - some really nice camera work and editing tricks - felt like it could have been written by Pedro Almodavar at times, which is always a great thing - pity it falls apart towards the end...also Rebecca Romijn is just too fucking hotRebecca's side boob/10 Edited November 29, 2013 by TRiP Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide TRiP's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/75962-films-recently-watched/page/175/#findComment-2097972 Share on other sites

Nebraska
this has been a favorite of mine for a while. as a sleazy b-movie, it's perfect. the opening scene is classic: valentine demy's boyfriend pleads with her not to betray him as she goes off to richmond virginia to enroll in dance school. the rest of the movie is pretty much how she fucks and falls in love with the first guy that stalks her at a bowling alley. obviously she must've not given two shits about that lunkhead boyfriend. it's also got a random appearance from gay porn movie dude jeff stryker as.. a guy in the dance class. but some of my favorite scenes are the dance sequences like this bit of perfection right here Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/75962-films-recently-watched/page/175/#findComment-2098442 Share on other sites
yshf
Room 237 - 4.5/10 - Abuses its position to spread a falsified and absurd image of film analysis to the masses. Utter shit. Chasing Amy (rewatch) - 7.5/10 - Pretty perfect at what it sets out to do. Tears the modern media rom-com/love story to shreds, and builds interesting relationships on top of the pile. Its like a shit buddy comedy that slowly realizes whats wrong with itself over the course of the runtime and brings up a bunch of unique questions about sexuality and emotion. As Expected / 10 Oh and I saw Escape from Tomorrow That movie that was shot at Disney Land without knowledge or permission of Disney. It took me four attempts to finally reach the ending, I always feel asleep, but not out of boredom, more like I was fleeing the horrible family. The film's kind of terrifying. It gets a bit too ridiculous though. All in all it's like a very long dream or something. I don't know what to make of it. Atop
King of New York 8/10 - Abel Ferrara has amazing moments and many of them are in this film. Amazing acting. Christopher Walken dancing and killing and being evil. Love this film. Abel knows how to shoot NYC. SO slimy. SO nasty. The way NYC should be portrayed. Can't wait for the uncut re-release of "Ms 45". Hopefully we get to see Zoe Lund's naked body! Yay!
