The Revenant.

Kind of awesome. Some pretty funny bits, specifically when

yeah, lol. that horse-gore-shelter was pretty out there as well.

a horse giving birth to a leo, that was the best scene...

I was so so so so so confused by my post until I looked at the date.

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

I Spit On Your Grave (remake trilogy) - balls in a vice/10 - remake of the early 1980s rape revenge horror flick, pretty meh all around.

Part 1 - standard rape-revenge-torture porn horror, running around in the woods on a low budget production. don't trust the redneck cops, duh

Part 2 - the most twisted of the lot, wake up in Generikstan, all Slavs are rapist pigs, and they live in track suits 24/7

Part 3 - felt like the mopey feminist reaction apologizing for the first 2 films, girl power x10, same girl from 1st movie, she's gonna make society pay. set in LA but looks suspiciously like Vancouver.

Positive Metal Attitude

Bridge of Spies - pretty good, overly sentimental at times as is to be expected with Spielberg, great script from the Coens though, and Hanks nails it.

Room - great start, but kind of peters out into more sentimentality (though I can't see how else it could've gone I guess). Good to see some original ideas though, the kid was great in it too.

Deadpool was fucking great.

Really? Haven't seen it but the trailers made it seem like the most pubescent crap mixed with stand up comedy where people say naughty words that gets everybody at the age of 15 totally psyched.

it's exactly that.

Just watched the star wars VII and didnt really enjoy it, although I really like the whole saga.

Hm, dunno.

Maybe it's not my day, but I think it is lame. Feels like Stephanie Meyer wrote the script.

dust devil, the final cut(workprint)-wow...this is such a good movie compared to the obviously butchered original studio cut,the voodoo, black magic,dream-like vibe really shines now, mixed with a great soundtrack and lots of new time lapse desert footage,it can be pretty trippy and shocking at times 8-10

DustDevil1.jpg

star flaws - storm troopers in fat suits, says it all really. says it all. What an hulking piece of shit. Stopping the phaser beam was cool though, i'll give them that, one point out of an million. You can see why Mr. Solo asked for bulk cash up front from these cheap arse nasty people that ruin everything that they get near.

A member of the non sequitairiate.

Phantom of the Paradise - I fucking love Brian De Palma, this was great.

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

Cheers for the heads up! Richard Stanley a true cyberpunk legend. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Soul_(2014_film)

Dust Devil looks intriguing.

anyone know if all six Lone Wolf and Cub movies are worth watching? does the quality drop off after the first 3?

afaik i usually place all my cum drops on scientifically sterilized glass slides which are carefully frozen and placed in trash cans throughout the city labelled "for women ❤️ alco" with my social security and phone numbers.

They're all pretty damn awesome, but marathoning them is a bit too much. I'd say go for it.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Going Clear - 10/10 + recommended , etc etc etc

scientology doco, very nicely researched and presented, lots of interviews with ex-members who left + nicely documented bits telling on how hubbard got started and his life. before finally digging into the nitty gritty on how the church operates today.

not exactly eye opening in a ... ' holy shit i had no idea the church was dodgy ' kind of way. but the sheer way the info in the film is presented. the film acts a nice bulk package of KNWAALEDGE. just... very recommended as a nice, clear package of what the church is.

also entertaining on the psychology level of how the church exactly drills into peoples minds and lures them in + keeps them in.

yes. very much worth watching imo.

for the lazy though, they cobbled together a movie out of the series for amerikkkan audiences because they gathered (correctly) that most lacked the patience for a fuller fleshed out series with subtitles

Star-Wars-The-Force-Awakens.jpg

finally watched this and i have to say i'm very glad i didn't pay to see this. i've never been a star wars fan and only ever enjoyed 'the empire strikes back'. and unlike everyone else, i actually don't loathe george lucas (actually, i now kinda feel bad for him that he sold this franchise to disney). with that said though- holy shit this was terrible.

i hated the main character- rey. i just didn't buy anything about her- in the beginning she's established as going around picking up things and selling them to some alien merchant for what i'm made to assume is very little money. however, she recovers a droid and is offered a large sum of money which (after a quick glance at the droid) decides against selling it.

this didn't seem genuine at all (at least, the actress didn't sell it) and the film is riddled with such "inaccuracies"

then there is finn. i thought i was going to like this guy but he also got annoying and fast. firstly, he's always bumbling, stumbling and having some stupid gag about it. then he's constantly going on about how he's part of the rebels (a lie due to his embrassement at being a stormtrooper?) then there is the obvious maniacal need to be with/protect rey. why? again, i didn't buy it.

lastly han solo. ummm, yeah. let's just say that harrison ford no longer has the charisma he once did. maybe it's age or he too has tired of the gig, but his performance seemed phone in. or at least, it seemed that way to me.

there was honestly nothing to like about this. even the music which (i think) won best original score was average at best. actually, i thought the female alien that run a bar was kinda interesting (i liked her voice too and how she moved) but the alien characters have always been the most frustrating part of star wars for me. somehow they always made the entire thing less believable and more cartoonish

ford's performance definitely felt phoned in. probably the weakest part of the movie. thought it was pretty entertaining though for a silly adventure movie.

A pointless sequel

Positive Metal Attitude

rewatched host as i hadn't seen it in years. good but pales in comparison to mother. envy anyone who gets to watch that for the first time. still 100000000xbetter than snowpiercer. still need to watch memories of murder

Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer - the most vapourwave film I have ever seen. Murder still life to moody synths and not a japanese logo top in sight.
