Colossal - colossal waste of time.

Ha I enjoyed this, why didn't you?

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

cos Rubin.

the rule is that if Rubin doesn’t like it, it might actually be worth watching

What a pile of utter shit. I can't believe this is the same guy that made Pulse.

Yeah, I watched it because it got some good reviews, but it was just frustratingly boring and dumb.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Colossal had such a bizare quality to it - felt as if it had been written for Korean audiences but then last minute changed (and translated poorly) to English. Even the ethics and character models within it didn't feel part of a typical 'american' zeitgiest. Something odd about it in either case.

Watched the first half of that Meltdown Memoirs docu, so far its excellent! Beautiful how these films can bring together such a bunch of wacky folk.

It's REALLY good. If you liked Dogtooth then you'll love this one.

guess i'm not watching dogtoot

Watched The Great Wall a few days ago. It was trash. Just bad. Nothing redeeming about it at all. Can't believe I finished watching it.

i honestly can't say just how bad justice league was because i slept through about 2/3 of it.

Blue Velvet - as fucked up as ever, so many Frank Booth lines & the dark visual details are more layered on the br-version, always a trip

Jeffrey could be in deeper shit lurking in cupboards these days doe

In a similar vein, John Hurt plays an electro-acoustic composer in The Shout, almost parallel stylistically to the above works, infinite juxtapositions between his sound recording work & the madness around, plus Tony Banks did the soundtrack/effects, a lost British beast:

Watched this the other night, awesome stuff - wish they still made em' like that

Night of the Comet - I enjoyed Stranger Things but then you see something like this and it seems so pointless. Just watch the original 80's stuff. The two girls in this were so cool.

Better Watch Out - Almost done a reverse Ringu and crawled into my tv to pummel the kid in this movie. God damn.

they looked at a generation raised on ironic anime memes and said, "gentlemen, we need live-action waifu. we have the technology."
