ESPRIT is set to release the 2nd full-length LP on Nov 18th called "200% Electronica"

It's an album of all new compositions that utilizes samples from 100% Electronica, and should be considered its sister album.

I finished recording on Aug 21st 2017.

These are some of the songs that didn't make the cut in varying degrees of completion.

I don't want to spoil the album, so I'll start by adding a few songs here and there, and as more official singles are released I'll keep adding more.

Due to the way I write songs, a lot of the tracks that didn't make the cut have bits and pieces of the tracks that DID make the cut. So, I'll try to add as much as I can without giving anything away. Then when the album is made available I'll add ALL of the outtakes here.

Holy shit I actually remember this one - I recall it seeming so much "cooler" as a kid. My relationship with baggy jeans is a complicated one - I got so much shit from 95-97 for not having baggy clothes from peers, even close friends, and I finally succumbed to wearing them. Went to a private school for a year and grew out of those. Then in middle school it was a fight to wear cool skate shoes. Flash forward to the early 00s and I had to shift to the opposite when emo shit got popular and baggy stuff became limited to ICP fans and cholos wearing dickies shorts.

Fucking trends man. I guess a nice thing about internet culture now is that kids can find solace in online communities a lot faster where they feel like they belong, not just in cliches IRL.

Reddit scene is there but I can't navigate it anymore, a lot of it is shit and people talking out of their asses. That said there's still good stuff: some of the other guys on here who produce and follow vaporwave can tell you what's up. I've been lost since like 2015 or so.

What is exciting and infuriating in equal measure is that the scene naturally keeps dividing and morphing into ever more obscure niches. Vapourwave doesn't really exist anymore.

Yeah it's achieved this state I can't really judge or cast an opinion on it. You are totally correct in that duality, and I often feel like I can't complain when so many new people are participating in it. I've seen other genres get co-opted or redefined (dubstep is a good example) but in the case of vaporwave you literally have fans and artists steering these drastic shifts, all in a underground online community to boot, which is novel.
