Joda Clement has put out a couple of real nice releases in the last year... "I hope you like the universe" and then there's "Sea Songs"

https://noticerecordings.bandcamp.com/album/i-hope-you-like-the-universe

probably my most played album last year

Listened to the 'i hope you like the universe' release at work today and really liked it. at times i zoned out but never wanted to turn it off, i like being able to focus in and out of releases like this. loved the field recordings and the way the textures blended.

Since the 1st HNM EP release in August 2015, HNM Records has grown and flourished. It has housed many prime noise / experimental releases from the likes of Kazuya Ishigami, Macronympha, Strelokk, T. Mikawa, God Pussy, Yasuhito Fujinami and many other talented artists.

This compilation is to celebrate HNM Record's 100th release and is a showcase for an amazing amount of experimental artists that have kindly contributed.

This album is to be listened to as one whole piece.

Marc Baron's recent release on Potlatch, Un salon au fond d'un lac, is super playable.. primarily made of tape music/tape machine sounds, it's nicely varied with a consistent melancholy vibe throughout. Both this album and Hidden Tapes are among the best noise/sound art albums I've heard over the last couple years. FYI, it's not super abrasive or "power" noise, or whatever.

that track is very beautiful.. i'd call that ambient rather than noise, but that's just me

yeah, it's definitely one of the more ambient/pleasant parts of the album. i hesitate to call it ambient cuz other parts of the album are quite jarring/lively. that soundcloud excerpt is the track that closes the album, it's not characteristic of the entire thing

this is the first track on Hidden Tapes... both albums were recorded around the same time, and they share similar elements. I was afraid that Un salon... might be a sort of leftovers album, but it's a great series of tracks. i get a strong emotional vibe from it

this is some live performance.. hands-on tape/machine fuckery

Fantastic, this is just what I need to get dropped back into the world of noise. 56 tracks for name your price! Must be 8 hours of music here, easily.

Officially licensed from Irwin Chusid of the SUN RA estate, Cold Spring’s Justin Mitchell negotiated rare and unreleased tracks from the SUN RA archive to be remixed and treated by Masami Akita. The tracks incorporate the jazz power of SUN RA, carried into brutal excess by the legendary Japanese artist, MERZBOW.

oh right clipping. are the lot that did that odd mashup with Whitehouse's Wriggle Like a Fucking Eel (On the Wriggle ep, who'd have thought)

Kinda works I guess

Lauren Bousfield did a right lovely edit of one of their tunes too

err anyway drifting a bit, haven't really fallen down many noise holes recently so just have this

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

Recently discovered this chap from Pennsylvania who makes my kinda noise.

Nice noisy blasts (not HNW) with vocal and synth samples with some great use of stereo effect. Plenty of variety, just about to give his 2nd release a go.

Thanks man!  I appreciate that you actually took it out for a listen.  I know two 15 minute tracks of noise is a lot to ask of most people's attention, so it's cool to know someone other than myself is experiencing it.  That first track might be my favorite noise piece I've made.

YES

I dloaded a bunch of her stuff a month or two back. Love that one that ends with a very long rambling monologue over a skipping CD sound
