I'm not actually into suits or tailoring but have learnt a lot of interesting stuff about the last century of fashion by following him.

I’ve gone pretty much entirely utilitarian. Shaved head, transformer trousers, hiking shoes, bumbags and boiler suits.

Actually recently got the 2002R (non loafer) version in pretty much the same colorway and they're pretty amazing. Comfy dadshoe vibes

after a few years of very regular searching and whittling down my tastes, i found my 'one and done' watch. i like vacheron + constantin the best, and 6378 is one of a few key references for me. it's mostly a sixties production. condition and price are main stumbling blocks. i found an example that's in budget and has great condition. however, its a great japanese shop that doesn't ship outside the country.

My taste in watch and everything else fashion related is very plain, basically dressing in dark solid colors that fit reasonably well and trying to avoid looking ridiculous, those my fashion maxims (a fairly low bar). 

Anyway, I was trying to find affordable minimal-design watches and eventually settled on the company based in Copenhagen called About Vintage. Very affordable and definitely on the lower rung in terms of quality (in comparison with what is out there). I got their 1969 model, had it for two years, only have to set it when daylight savings switches, and it keeps time very well. Does not really get any plainer than this.

But I've always had a soft spot for a basic Shinola Detroit watch, which I have read are good quality but a little more expensive than I really would wanna pay for a watch (still not terribly high priced, though). Figure that the big numbers are maybe not everyone's taste, but I like it:
