Machinedrum‘s recent move to the Ninja Tune label seemed like a smart move for the Berlin-based producer, and now we’re beginning to see the fruits of that union. Stewart has finally announced the follow-up to 2011′s widely acclaimed Rooms LP – it’s called Vapor City and it’s a concept album of sorts. Each track will represent a different district in the city, and looking at the artwork spoiled for the ear-pummeling new track ‘Eyesdontlie’ (which you can take a listen to below) there’s working public transport and everything.

The news doesn’t stop there either, Stewart is also launching a four-track EP entitled Fenris District to sit alongside the album, and from the sound of the title, we reckon it’s going to be well in keeping with its bigger brother’s concept too.

somehow i missed that it will be about every district.... by the way, which city? berlin or new york? cause berlin isn't very "vapor city" at all... and i also missed that gorgeous promo pic... thanks for that

The Gunshotta track is really good. Faith restored.

Revisiting Room(s) right now, I'm really not into this footwork stuff. It's a decent album, but my lowest rated Machinedrum album. Want to 1 2? was heading in this direction but was much better IMO. I hope the move to Ninja Tune will see the footwork aspect toned down a little. Not that I expect the label to force their hand, I just hope it won't be too much like Room(s).
