Just segwayed in to say that in no way should this album not be on p.1 of the new & upcumming releases, definitely up there with room(s) and one of my favorites of 2013 and its not even out yet (dont worry travis, I buy I buy). While it's somewhat less adventurous than its predecessor it more than compensates in cohesiveness and quality from start to finish. Dude is just a great songwriter and producer full stop.

Also I thoroughly enjoy that first week or 2 in a budding love affair with an album, when your subconscious starts to anticipate certain trajectories/transitions in the flow before your conscious mind can

the first comment on there is interesting and also kinda true

This feels almost cruelly revisionist. Travis why are you shunning your early IDM phase :( All this talk of cool-continuum jungle... not even the scantest mention of IDM, despite the fact his 'pre-dancefloor' era stuff was all stylistically (not to mention aesthetically in press-photos and album artwork) I D M. Why are people so embarrassed about it now? Can you show me anything from the Merck records catalogue that consciously had an interest in jungle? More Cornwall than South London. It makes my heart gently weep :(

I too was curious about why he seems never acknowledge his idm roots.

Coked-out club girls, dude.

what's even weirder is that The Quietus seems like just the type of place who'd ask him about his past, which I'm sure they are well aware of. I'd expect a cursory look at his more re-invented sound from Resident Advisor or Fact Mag, not the Quietus which is usually very comprehensive and thorough on electronic music history.

haha that would be a good name for a lp or something

Check my dusty tunes and mixes over here: https://soundcloud.com/2kn

alright, Im hooked. This album is fucking amazing.

Its a perfect reprise and synthesis of so many old styles into something incredibly funky, dreamy, emotional but solid and beat heavy. Im seriously impressed. This might beat out Exai for me as the best album Ive heard this year.

i was hoping they were going to start kisssing and it would turn into a massive gay orgy, that would make the video interesting. you could really put any track on top of that video, a zomby track would work well.

love the way the review with glasses pronouces garage, not 'garidge'.

great song though

Generic Kode9 post dubstep 2009 imagery. All that video does is detract from the brilliant album artwork, which was imagery enough for the whole album. The Eyes Don't Lie video is great though.

Stream the full album here!

Ah yeah! I've been wondering how they set this up - who contacts who or how much the label "invests" in such promotional streams. I can't think of one of a pfork "Advance" album that's been deemed BMN yet...they seem to reserve the opportunity for artists they really like but haven't been paid enough to hype or seem too risky to enthusiastically promote - I bet it'll be a 7.9

Gunshutta is my fucking jam.

edit: Center Your Love is catchy as fuck too

lol at Gunshotta having an "intricate rhythm"

It sounds like a drum n bass loop. Shows that Anthony Fantano has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to electronic music.

I am so bored with Vapor City. It's predictable and tacky sounding to me, and seems a step back from some of the sounds heard on the JETS radio mix. I am not buying the album, and I am not going to see the debut Vapor City show at Decibel Fest on friday, although I had initially planned to do both before hearing the album and seeing the two (awful) music videos.

Seeing DJ Rashad and John Tejada at db instead, and very excited about it.
