A close friend of mine is going through a pretty rough time right now after his engagement fell to shit so I'm letting him crash with my fiance and I for a while. He's a really good cook though so tonight I helped him make a big authentic Vietnamese dinner. Pho, banh mi, and a ginger salad. It was delicious. Might learn a few things in the kitchen having him around for a bit.

I gave myself a challenge about 40 days ago to finish an album by October 8th. Well, I finished the damn thing. I haven't slept much in the past week, but I'm very happy to be done with it and glad how it turned out.

Told my boss yesterday that the new sound engineer is going to make more than twice as much money than I do. I then told him that I make less than a cashier and that I have to work all night doing freelance stuff in order to save up money. I then told him that I can't pay my bills with all the nice comments he gives me for my work.

It felt great, but this posts continues in the "srupid first world problems".

After spending a day drafting an airtight venture capital finders fee for my 3% fee on the front end, signing NDA's, looking at the books as a group then my party signing the agreement on half of the 1.5 million dollar deal with the other party, then they both signed a 2.5% VCFF on the entire 1.5 millon for my boss and I to split for arranging all of this...

I walked out of there with the legal agreements and handshakes to get $60,000 in cash that as far as Uncle Sam knows, doesn't exist - it's to be paid within 30 days after today as stipulated by the contract(s). All because I happened to meet a curious investor on a plane when headed back from L.A. and have a well connected boss with this lucrative industry up here in WA.
