To be honest I don't see the problem- it's the music that counts and not a number on a sleeve. If the demand is higher for this item, why not pressing up more? They have clearly said it would be different from the previous run even when it's only a small change in this case.

Nowadays it's all about limitations, vinyl colours, first run extras etc.

you can bet your arse that the repress will not cost that much. the only reason it cost £28 is because it was supposed to be limited.

that's the problem.

Saw a copy in my local store earlier, £30 on the nose. It took a lot of willpower to put it back in the racks. Edition number was something like 1556.

Okay, that's a good point- but let's wait if the second run has the same price or if it will be offered for a lower amount. In the last case I truly support your standing.

FWIW mine came in from amazon.ca, packed extremely well and in perfect condition. couldn't be happier. #2900-something. as i paid about £17 shipped, i don't give a shit about the limited-ness.

How did you manage to avoid tax? Or does Amazon take care of that for you?

not sure, I don't think I've ever been taxed on transatlantic stuff going either way though. Customs declaration stated what I paid for it (which was 10 CAD I think? Possibly 15?), DHL delivered no questions asked. Was amazed how quick it came - amazon.ca sent it 3-day international.

I don't mind it so much. It's like the Pi soundtrack....gotten used to it now.

RE: customs tax. I think you only pay it on items over a certain amount.
