i won't. I liked the gee-tars. I'm not so keen when they go off into tabla country, though.

if there are guitars, i highly doubt it will be acoustic strumming loops

TCH was not very good. That album was too bland, and many of the songs sounded like Hyundai commercials to me.

I'm with you Zombie, its got a small clutch of incredible tracks (tears of the CE, Oscar See TRE, Dayvan) but as an album it doesn't stand up to BoC high standards. Like you said its a bit too bland.

Never understood all the hate for TCH, while Geogaddi as a contained album is still my favorite, there are some songs on TCH that are some of the best works they've ever done imo. '84 Pontiac Dream gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it still.

Yea Campfire doesnt deserve all this trash talk.

Sure it's not as good as Music has the right, or Geogaddi, and I was a bit let down when it first came out... But seriously campfire was not a bad album. I think people need to learn to warm up to certain things

have BoC done all their previous album artwork themselves? i just want to get a better understanding of why this artwork feels so different, like they had no hand in the creative process other than telling Neil Krug/WARP what they're aiming for and having them do all the artwork for them (excluding of course the 'transmission' teaser which feels like BoC themselves)....

i was wondering this too. initially i thought the cover was a poorly done photoshop of just inserting a desert in front of the city but JR mentioned it may be a video still.

either way, it is certainly unimpressive. i think even if they used the black border with rounded corners that is all over the inside, that would have at least added something. i hesitate to comment on the art direction without having the full thing in front of me, but for sure, this is the first boc album cover i would not even consider hanging on a wall.

if I want to roll in the grass under clear blue summer skies (which it is designed for) I think TCH is okay, having said that there are many, many other albums which I'd rather play. TCH is a long, long way from essential for that frame of mind

same can't be said for Geogaddi or MHTRTC for the mood they conjour...

Constants are Changing is peaceful as fuck, pure sunny day vibes. Ataronchronon has a mystical quality to it like a lot of the stuff on MHTRTC. Sherbet Head is fuzzy, decayed and moody. Bassy as hell, too. The parts of Chromakey where the guitar sample drops out and that deep flute-sounding melody comes in with the buried voices... !

I feel it's really underrated.

agreed, it's my favorite album of theirs, probably. Just based on "listenability". It's an album I want to put on.

although, IABPOITC is my favorite published work of theirs.

I happen to think Geogaddi is overrated. Yes, it's a good and very "idea rich" and dense album. However, I feel in general it's a bit too rushed, almost like a "best of" highlights reel...many tracks don't get enough time to breath imo. I have the same fear with Tomorrow's Harvest, given the short track times, but we'll see.

hi scores, twoism and geogaddi are the best. you guys know nothing. tch is pretty boring, and mhtrtc is way too long and works well as background stuff but never really sucks me in.

I never understood the hate for Dayvan Cowboy. Nice variety and something i wouldn't expect BoC to do

Whoa whoa, this new one is at least 100x better than Campfire. A-member when that cover first leaked? Same exact color scheme as mhtrtc, that font, yet another blury shadowy dude, pretty sure almost everyone assumed it to be fake, and a bad one at that. To this day my expression is nothing but when I look at it

I'm sure I'll like this cover better after I hear the tunes
