My thought, exactly. I thought the beginning of this film was great. The entire 1st act was brilliant all the way up until the first pub... Now, spoilers. Reveal hidden contents I understand its part of a "trilogy" but I thought the whole story became cheap, weak and predictable by having the whole "blanks" twist. It just reverted everything to one long chase scene. If they would have kept on the same story they started on about friends and getting older and moving on and hard times and depression while trying to reclaim the glory of ones youth, it would have been soooo much better. It really effected me. I was so into the drama story line. Oh well. Fucking robots. Big deal. Cop out.
