The approach I'm taking, which I've did for the last AE and I'm sure something else recently from Warp, is to check in here and wait for the digitals to be released early at which point I'll pre-order and wait for the CD/LP to arrive. Then I'll have got the songs and I'm hopefully happy. If it gets to release day or a couple of days before that then I'll not bother with Bleep and I'll go elsewhere, maybe even to an actual record shop. I'm not so mad desperate that I can't wait until release date, but if they do become available legit then that's a cheeky bonus.

But I still think Bleep are being a bit like a left hand scrotum over the pre-ordering scenario....

@oscillik

Have you seriously not heard any of the tracks from TH? Not even Reach for the Dead or the recording made of Cold Earth from that festival? If so, I admire your patience.

I swear down on my computer (of which I've just spent a fuck ton of money on), my recently purchased 1210 M5G, and my entire record collection - I haven't heard any of the tracks from Tomorrow's Harvest. The only thing I've heard is that cosecha-transmissiones teaser video thingy. I have no idea if that's even on the album (I would prefer if no-one here told me either way, but I know someone will anyway)

Is this post real?

This is exactly my approach as well.

Seems like a missed opportunity yesterday. At the end of the transmission they should have had a card come up that said "Available on Bleep Now" and pushed it live. With all the twitter buzz they were getting it would have spread like crazy.

I agree with this.

Best album release ever. It will be even funnier if Bleep crashes under the load when they do decide to put the downloads available for those who pre-ordered.

This will happen. there is no if, just and

While this isn't the band's fault, I'm still a little pissed off. I'm sure they cashed the check that contained their cut of my preorder.

Just think, they're probably buying brand new beanies as we speak.

Could this be an attempt by bleep to avoid total server meltdown again? If it's been out on torrents etc for a couple of days first won't that ease up the number of people furiously F5-ing when they finally put it out? That's my theory anyway. Exai showed that bleep can't handle too many people at once.

It will still cave under the strain due to bleep not bothering to invest in their hardware hosting their site, since this only happens once in a blue moon with the "big name" artists. I guarantee you when Bibio comes out, it will be smooth sailing... and most people are unaware of torrents or where to download it illegally - I was actually surprised it took me quite some time to find it via a Google search (a rip of the stream), and even then, there was only one legitimate source for that. I thought it would have been all over and easily accessible by the time the stream was over and a few hours had elapsed.

Fuck Bleep /Warp. If on original release announcement I had known that there would be a limited edition Artcard CD edition available exclusively from independent record stores, I would be waltzing into Truck Store in Oxford with a wad of notes.

Ok from now on if I know I can buy something in a store rather than online, that's where I'm gonna get it.

I better get a diamond hexagon with Mike's and Marcus's signatures on for pre-ordering.

Otherwise I will be very bothered.

Isn't the art card edition for indies the same thing that bleep will (eventually) be sending out?

MindElevation, from the Twoism forum, emailed Bleep a while back about the art cards, to which Bleep replied:

"We have the version with Art Cards too. It's exactly the same. Best wishes, Bleep support"

It had better be.

The Bleep CD does say "Digipack with art cards" so I reckon they're the same thing.

so they're being disingenuous by saying that they are exclusively available from independent record stores.
