he's such a twat but that was really weird. The lead lady seemed to be having a meltdown without any prompting from him, maybe she forgot her meds that morning. He certainly made them all look tongue-tied and incompetent

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

I love how uncomfortable he made the female anchor. Also, that guy in the green tie seemed like such a douchebag, all he did was make sort of passive aggressive remarks about Russell's accent...

Yeah I really had a bad first impression of Russell Brand years and years ago but he's growing on me. Still don't think his stand-up/comedy is that great but he is quite clever and endearing in interviews. He's definitely above this shit.

That woman anchor, Mika Brezinski, actually did something kind of cool years ago in 2007 when she refused to read off a story about Paris Hilton before a story about a Republican speaking out against Bush and the Iraq War, to the point where she tore up her script when her producer demanded she go with script. Maybe Brand's comments made her feel uncomfortable because she knows he's got a point and actually felt uncomfortable, not simply confused or perplexed. I dunno.

ok, I've actually changed my mind about Brand, he's pretty fucking hilarious

I think the bulk of my previous judgment of Brand was based upon the fact that I knew the title of his book was something like "My little booky-wook". Maybe that flies better in the UK, but I find it unpardonably and revoltingly cutesy. I mean really man, wtf...

it's funny, every time I see him I think he's a walking definition of the word "twat" but then I listen to him and he seems like a decent guy, underneath the layers of celebrity lifestyle wankery. then I go away and forget about him, and the same thing happens again. rinse repeat. I think it's the way he looks and talks that makes him so difficult to stomach. I hear he had a rather fucked up childhood.

Man just focusing on all the superficial and redundant attributes of a person.

There will be new love from the ashes of us.

20 seconds into the video and the lady in blue is condescending from the get-go. "i don't keep up with that bit i'm told he's a big deal" ...what? woman, you're on a morning show and you interview all sorts of people, you're not high-and-mighty. and then he seems to notice it with the cocked head/look on his face...maybe they had words before or something?

he's a bit over the top though, that's for sure. he ignores and interrupts and such...made the interviewers nervous. he's definitely being a jerk, though. not that they didn't deserve it in a way....but he presents himself like a parade, then blames them for gawking. i mean...come on.

he seems intelligent enough, as he usually does when i've seen him, but yeah he's still being a jerk.

Yeah that was way strange alright, though I actually think she had an involuntary orgasm during that exchange just past the 1-minute mark and never recovered. There was probably a latent attraction to begin with (I understand he's quite fancied by many a lady), but then the whole lead up from kinky boots to low cut dress to mention of his "instincts" probably sent her over mount gushmore.

edit: lol at Bob Dobalina. Yeah something was going on for sure, he certainly skewered her with the "stroking the bottle" comment. If she were as quick on her feet as he, she could have said something like "a guy who dresses and acts like you is clearly compensating for something"

he is quick on his feet, that's for damn sure.

i bet he'd get annoying fast if you were his gf.

it's a little more involved than that. I'm saying that because he presents himself that way publicly and indulges in celebrity shite (which he does), I basically have to re-evaluate him every time I hear him. now because he appears to be a decent person underneath all that, I tend to evaluate him positively. but when that's over and I stop hearing him, he kind of goes back to being just another celeb to me. it's a problem to do with how celebs are perceived in the media vs in person.

I was actually sort of quoting him from the first video. Here is another decent one.

That was brilliant on so many levels at the same time. This was more about flirting than anything else, really.

He used to do a fantastic radio show on the BBC, some kind soul has put them all up on youtube and I'd recommend them highly.

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

Nah. It was way more good hearted. IMO

She was mostly negging him playfully. For various reasons probably. It's very likely these two characters spoke backstage before the broadcast, and just as likely they had a similar tension back then. (And I'm sure it was an immediate thing as well, seeing the amount of on-camera chemistry.)

Her negging was more her way of trying to control that unpredictable Brand. Hoping she'd be able to put him in his place. That backfired rather quick. :-) The irony was that she actually started about his hairy décolleté. Only moments later he could fire back by honestly pointing out he could see everything hanging, and she was completely lost for the rest of the interview.

If you want to learn what flirting is, look no further than this.

She is a MILF, btw.

The title is a reference to nadsat (i.e the language used on A Clockwork Orange) - despite your reservations with the title I definitely recommend giving it a go: It's an often hilarious, well written biography full of pretty wild anecdotes. One of which was about the time (whilst still very much on the ol' H) he decided to get a homeless guy to move in with him -

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

at what point did he destroy anyone. I thought that they were all being good natured while he took the piss out of them. And then past half way through they are talking about the show's host, 'joe' and refer to him as 'him' and russell misinterprets this as them talking about him (being a narcisist who isn't big on listening and is more about projecting, this is not hard for him to do). So he carries on about them being rude for not using his name. At this point i stopped watching, because clearly the title of the thread is misleading, and nothing more was going to happen than the usual brand tedium. Where he attacks people by claiming to be victimized. This usually of course leads to real confrontation which he can feed off, and proves his point retroactively.

I'm not putting him down, i'm just a little frustrated by him. If you know what i mean.

A member of the non sequitairiate.

oh really, didn't know that about the title, seems rather uninspired given the other terms Burgess came up with. Certainly makes it a bit more palatable.

In other new, Brand is the spitting image of my father, maybe another reason my knee-jerk reaction was dislike, lol.

Aye, I've wondered that - On my twitter feed, people on facebook and here people all used the word 'destroyed'. "Questioned", seems more apt

HUH!?

So if you're in a conversation with a couple of people who after a while start to talk about you, while you're still there, in third person perspective, you wouldn't mind? And if you would, it would be narcissistic? Apparently, I'm guilty!
