Available soon from Kickstarter. Follow me on Twitter @Szabo_Haslam and Tumblr for updates.
Each poster visualises the waveforms generated by some of my favourite pieces of techno and electronic music. Using traditional, hand-pulled, silk-screen printing processes each waveform is lovingly crafted into a limited edition A2 print, signed and numbered by me.

I have to agree. You have a serious eye for making data look beautiful, but you need to complement that aesthetic with some more serious data. This appears to be volume over time, which is OK and all, but doesn't really show anything particularly interesting about the music.

Incidentally, do you consider this work of yours to be influenced by Michael Deal at all? You seem to have a similar thing going on. It's nice to see this idea applied to artists I like more, who are far more niche than the Beatles.

I haven't heard of Michael directly, but I recognise his work for Billboard magazine from Creative Review - maybe Design Observer. I do think our styles are very different but I'll take the comparison as a compliment!

So what's the scale on those things - is it from start to end of the track or just a little snippet ? Would be good if there was a spectral coloured mapping on each node/prong showing frequency distribution too

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

that Blade Runner one is fucking gorgeous.

Cheers. It glows in the dark too (although nowhere near as green as the sample image in the link above)

The waveform covers the whole track, and the finished posters are A2 (42 x 59.4cm).

They remind me of something Richard Devine or detund would use for an album cover or promotional work. That very careful, neat, spacey/ robotic aesthetic doesn't sit well with me, it often feels uninspired. I'd consider buying these from a fanboys point of view but I don't think they stand on their own artistic merit.

I've just launched another set of Waveform prints on Kickstarter:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/szabohaslam/waveform-dance-music-silkscreen-prints-second-wave

Once this set is finished, I'm going to crack on with an update for the Rephlex book - promise!
