Fun track and all, but this doesn't sound very aphexy at all.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Rubbing The Wrong Way is a beast of a track. Whoever made this, it needs to get a proper release.

Richard pls

Definitely not him

RDJ's music doesn't have percussion as just an extra addition to drive the music forward

It in itself has melodies and his drums could be played on a piano with the right ear and it would sound good. This stuff can't

BTW

Man, I'm a very enthusiastic fan of Mr. James' music, but not everyone who has shifty percussion and squirrely modulating synths is automatically AFX. These sound like someone entirely different. Jodey K. is my guess. The drums in Punch Drummer sound a bit like the drums the endish part of Farewell Frenchman with the cowbell and cheesy 80's toms, but the rest sounds like some of the EDM stuff... It just goes on a little too long or something.

I dunno, but this lacks a certain amount of control and precision that I hear in Mr. James' work and doesn't have the melodic power of his body of work.

I think this is the first non-admitted thing I've ever guessed was him, only because it does sound like him. It doesn't sound like AFX and it's the same deal as Jidomatix IMO -- Random tracks with cool video on youtube.

After listening to drukqs and then re-listening to the linked song I can confirm that it is indeed not aphex twin. Sorry guys

How do you people find these random unknown aphex-like tracks/producers all over the place on youtube and stuff? do you search for related keywords/tags etc? are some of you on google alerts for the term braindance or glitch something? i dont understand.

Edited by Lane Visitor

maybe its cause they uploaded them .. or knew the person who did .. or are on some super secret email list ...

i blame chatmm .. thats the font of all knowledge ..

that last one does sound like parody though .. at least through these ph speakers that seemed to mostly highlight the bass synth ..

Aphex? Lol.

Jk? Not.

Trackermatte? Not even.

The posters who keep this thread alive? Yes. These tracks are bad. Turn off the video and listen. There's nothing there.
